So I've had my 851 for about 7 months now and while I don't get nearly enough practice with it, it is indeed a fantastic handgun. It's very compact and easily concealable. I actually bought this handgun along with the CIA model so i could decide which to keep and which to sell (thinking I'd only keep one). Somewhere along the way, I decided I like them both so much that I'm not selling either one. The one really nice thing about this revolver is that even though its compact and has a very short barrel, the kick using the 110 & 135 Grain ammo isn't all that bad because the gun is also all metal. The full power 158Grain +P ammo is a palm stinger though. I actually tried shooting the hottest load i could find through this gun and while the gun performed flawlessly, my palm and wrist did not. I was only able to do 1 cylinder of full power ammo. All in all, I'd give this gun a 9 out of 10. Great fit and finish and it does exactly what I bought it for. Bud's service earns and A as well since they were able to get both my guns to me in jut 3 days. That made my weekend as they arrived just before I was planning on taking a CCW Class. Thanks Taurus for a great product, and Thanks Buds for great service.

Pretty good little gun for the price. Took mine out to the range yesterday and shot 100 rounds through it. Mine shoots high right but after about 15 rounds I got it dialed in and was picking cans and bottles off at about 25 feet. The wife liked the feel of the gun and could handle the recoil pretty well( coming from a women who is very small and has little experience with guns). For conceal carry, close range protection or for a female, this is a good gun. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for such. Bud's communication and service was awesome. I will definitely buy from them again.
