Probably the best CCW your money can buy. The PT145 has been very reliable and easy to maintain. I've owned mine for four months and have had one fail to fire and that was due to faulty ammo. I placed a Hogue grip on mine to absorb some of the recoil and to adjust my grip a bit due to having large hands. This pistol will throw all types ammo down range with no problems especially after it's break in period. Quality self defense piece. My next purchase is Taurus 1911, there firearms are very well built.

I previousely owned the 745 Pro. with the 6+1 Capacity and enjoyed carrying, and shooting it. I ordered the 145 Stainless and right off the bat the magaizne would release after the first shot!!. I made sure that my grip positioning was NOT actuating the Mag release, and after every shot the recoil would release the mag., rendering the gun USELESS!!!!. So After 5 Rounds, this gun is back in Miami. I will review again to report the ordeal of having Taurus figure out if they can fix it or replace it. So far, i am into this gun for Initial cost plus transfer fee, plus postage and insurance. Again i will review after the situation is completed. Thank You Jon P.

What a great small concealable package. Carry with me all the time. Put 300 rds through it and no problems what so ever. Nice tight group at 25 yds, once I figured out the sights..DUH.. Get the Fobus SB11B holster if you want it to fit tight. Love this little guy.I can finally leave my XD9 at home. For the money, it's the best deal out there.

Probably the best CCW your money can buy. The PT145 has been flawless. Compact, accurate, and easy to service. Great customer service as well.

If you're looking for a great little CCW semi-auto with a manly caliber, manual safety and a great mag capacity, this is your gun. I do carry GLOCKS and snubbies, but if I know that I'm going on an assignment where I could get into some sort of an altercation and someone may want to go for my gun (should they find it), then I want something that is not "stranger friendly" (the manual safety isn't obvious to those unfamiliar with firearms). From 25yards my groups are just over 1.25", which isn't too bad, but it's all steak and potatoes when there aren't bullets coming your way. Basically what I'm saying is that this is a great gun, especially if you're looking for some heavy firepower that's easy to conceal.
