Sweet pistol. Accuracy is consistently great. Have shot 500rds through it over 2 days and am printing, with aimed fire, 1.5" groups at 30' and 2-2.5" point-shooting. It's a tack driver and I'm not even using quality ammo. A natural pointer, given the hits at 21' while moving off the "X" in combat drills. I've fired a lot of pistols at 5x's the cost and not liked them as much; Well... maybe one of them I did. But I can't agree more with Jason's assessment. Great gun, great price and great service. I want to comment Bud' on their timely email updates on my order and the swiftness of their shipping department. It was a real pleasure doing business with them from start to finish. They were knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. I will never shop at G---er M---tain again except to by a magazine to read.

I just received notice that my XD9 3'' subcompact is on its way to me. If it is as good as my XD 40 4'' duty handgun, I'll be Very happy. The previous review is most encouraging, as is Springfield Armory's Lifetime Guarantee- whether you're the first or third owner. And that's no bull! You really get your money's worth and it is sooo easy to field-strip and clean.

I finally got a chance to go put 100 rounds through my new Springfield XD-9 sub compact, and I couldn't be more impressed. The accuracy on this gun, even with the 3" barrel, is fantastic. Not a single hiccup with the first 100 rounds either (with cheap Blazer 115gr FMJ's). Field stripping this weapon is as easy as can be too. I looked at a lot of carry guns in 9mm, and i'm sooooo glad I went with the XD-9. You can't go wrong with this piece, no way. I'm glad I didn't go with a Glock (Not to say those aren't great firearms too though!).

Put 100 rds throught this weapon at the range last week, and I must say, this gun is easily controllable for follow on shots, even with the 3" barrel and the shortened grip. Had one failure to eject and one failure to feed, but this was a range rental and was so gunked up that I bet it hadn't been cleaned in over 1,000 rounds at least. The grip safety is hardly noticeable, and is a great safety addition compared to the lone trigger safety on the Glocks (the XD's have a trigger safety as well). Accuracy was pretty good. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, even over a Glock. Good size for concealed carry. Will make another review once I receive mine (won't be so gunked up) and put a couple hundred rounds through it.
