I bought the Charter Arms Police Undercover because I wanted a lightweight, handy home defense pistol. This gun is great. It's all stainless steel except for the grip frame which is polymer. It holds 6 versus the other Charter Arms Undercover models, which hold 5. It uses the frame of the Mag Pug. So, it's just a little bit bigger than the standard Undercover revolvers, but it does hold 6, which is a plus. I added a set of Pachmayr Compac grips (Buds Part #02523) and it is a breeze to shoot. The recoil is mild and the gun is accurate. I like the way the frame is designed. Unlike a Smith & Wesson or Colt or Dan Wesson, there's no sideplates. The frame is all one piece. So, that makes it very solid. The barrel screws onto the frame. This is a pretty solid pistol. I'm a fan of Charter Arms revolvers. They are American made and they really are quite a deal in the revolver market. Check one out. Thanks BudsGunShop!

Very tight lockup, accurate, and light weight. This is my every day carry. I love it. Having an extra, 6th shot, is cool, but not a big deal. The excellent feel and balance was the reason I bought mine. Shoots point of aim with 130gr Winchester T/D loads with manageable recoil.

Compact, lightweight, and very shootable. It does hit below point of aim (3" at 15') but grouped decently and was very easy to shoot. It also has the advantage of the sixth round that many snubs don't come with now. GGood revolver for the money.

This is the husband posted this review. I bought this gun for my wife. I wanted a six shot instead of five and wanted a gun with some weight to it and a gun my wife would be comfortable with. This gun fit the bill on all counts. It was reasonably priced and buying from Budsgunshop was a pleasant experience. After receiving the gun and shooting it with my wife, we are both very pleased with it. It feels and shoots really well. Handle is a little bigger than a comparable Taurus which suits me and my wife better. The Taurus handle is just a bit too small. Does have some kick to it but that's to be expected from a gun this small. Not as much kick though compared to a lighter 38 spl (this one weighs 20 oz). We've never owned a Charter Arms before so what remains to be seen is how long this gun will remain trouble free. So far so good. Glad we chose this gun.

As always, Buds' customer service earns an A+++. This is a solid, no nonsense little gun. It is only slightly larger than most 5 shot snubs and you get the added 6th round. Weight at 20 oz helps with recoil as does the palm filling grip. Keep in mind, you are not geting a Smith and Wesson here, but you are also not paying the price of one. 5 stars for value.
