I was pleasantly surprised to receive a Talo 1 of 300 version of this Colt 1911 Lightweight Commander. It has a navy blue frame and black grips and is a very good looking gun, a little different than the gun pictured. First 50 rounds shot perfectly, really excited to use this as my everyday carry. Bud's really hooked me up!

Gun fired great for the 30 rounds I tested it with. Not enough of a sample to really get a good idea of how it will perform, it was all i had at the time. The gun looks great. The fit and finish on this pistol is excellent. Buds was a little pokie with the e-check,"waiting for the check to clear", but I have my new Colt, and I'm happy with it. It seems Colt discontinued this model, the O4860XSE , so maybe it will increase in value over my lifetime. Thanks Buds. I'll be back for more.

Sold my 1911's a while back, wasn't a big fan. Then I decided to buy just one for all time. Although there are much prettier ones out there I chose this because- Its a Colt, Its light, its a manageable size. Its a 1911 I can actual use regularly. Im actual surprised how small it is, should carry nicely. Other than one heirloom this is my one and only Colt. This one is a keeper...

Bought this Colt Lightweight Commander* with 4.25" barrel from Bud's. Best price on the net. Fast shipping. Excellent product. So if you want to buy a firearm here, go for it. Excellent experiance. *Be aware though that this Colt XSE series pistol uses a Novak dove-tail profile for rear site; HOWEVER, the front sight on all the XSEs use a proprietary Colt profile. Be careful when ordering any sights.

I just purchased a Colt 1911 Model 04860XSE 4.25 barrel. Received it yesterday, 1-12-16. Obtained a box of Winchester 45 Auto FMJ. Went straight to my armorer's house and fired 50 rounds. That Colt is the very best I've ever fired. I fired a few, 20 yrs. Military. Very well satisfied with my purchase. Thanks Bud.

This was my first purchase from Bud's and it won't be the last. Ordered it on Monday and picked it up from my Bud's FFL on Friday! The pistol's fit and finish is excellent! No marks or scratches on the pistol. The sights come up perfectly for me and it fits me well. Ran 200 rounds thru it without any problems. The pistol rides perfectly in a Galco Royal Guard IWB holster. This will be my everyday carry pistol. You can buy with confidence from Bud's!

Love this gun. I have read a lot of comments about the magazine's that come with Colts. My magazine's worked flawlessly. I have not one bad thing to say about this gun,it is very lightweight, accurate, and a pleasure to use. Lives up to Colts reputation.

Fit and finish deserving of the Colt name. They still make a nice 1911. Very reliable, absolutely no malfunctions with any kind of ammo. I was surprised at the weight. It is actually "Lightweight" compared to other commander 1911's. Carry-able in the winter months in my opinion.

The Colt XSE Commander is an exceedingly well made 1911. For the price, it is 100% without a doubt top tier, and is certainly worth buying. 100% no regrets buying this Colt 1911 from budsgunshop whatsoever, and I am 100% a happy camper after having done so!

Excellent purchase. This is by far my new favorite handgun. As would be expected, Colt did not dissapoint. Trigger pull is crisp and clean. The Lightweight Commander is significantly lighter than the 5" standard 1911, but there is not a noticable increase in recoil. Nothing but positive compliments from friends and family for the look, feel, and performance of this gun. Firearm aside, the customer service from Buds was top-notch. Staff was very helpful and courteous with setting up the purchase and shipment. I will certainly be doing business with Buds again. OUTSTANDING!! The fit & finish are flawless. Very accurate right out of the box. I shot 250 rounds as soon as I got it. It ran with every kind of ammo that I had.

Very nice pistol. Good weight and balance, great finish. Slide fit is not as tight as my Kimbers but all of the Colts I have are like that. Some people say that is why they are so dependable, I don't know if that is true or not but mine have always been very dependable right out of the box, and the Kimbers have not always been. I have only put a couple of hundred of rounds through it but would trust this as a carry pistol, there have not been any problems at all and it is pretty accurate. I like the lightweight frame pistols for carry and have quite a few lightweight 1911's and some have a lot of rounds through them and the frames don't really show much wear. Good pistol, good service from Bud's, can't go wrong with either.

Please be aware when buying this pistol you are buying a lightweight Commander that has an alloy frame. I purchased this firearm by accident as I thought I looking at the all stainless Commander and Buds does not note anywhere in the description that it has an alloy frame it is just the same generic XSE description they all have. It was not until the next day when I recieved an email from another online retailer offering the same pistol for 30 dollars less that I checked the product numbers and realized I had ordered the alloy frame model by mistake. I contacted Buds about the price difference but they do not match other competitors prices. As for the pistol itself, the fit and finish is excellent and is great looking. I put the Colt medallion rubber rap around grips on even though the stock grips are very nice. I've decided to keep the gun and use it for carry once shot enough. Put 250 rounds through it with out a hitch, with the exception of the slide failing to lock out with the Colt mags after shooting the last round. Chip Mccormick pwr mag+ functioned flawlessly. Recoil is more crisp but doesn't bother me a bit. I'm going to shoot the heck out of this pistol and if the alloy frame cracks it can go back to Colt for repair. I give the pistol 5 stars but I'm going to give buds 2 stars for not advertising the pistol properly and for not having the lowest price but mainly for the advertising. Buds delivery was prompt as usual. I buy a lot of firearms from buds and was disappointed at them on this one.

First of all - Bud's service was great!!! Now the pistol- on a scale of 1-10, this Colt is easily a 10! Function, Fit, Balance, Accuracy, Appearance- couldn't be better!! In the world of 1911's - there's COLT - then there's everything else. If You see this gun listed, and you want it, you better get it- because it won't be listed for long!!! This is true of most Colt 45's. It's nice to see that Colt quality is back!!!!!!!!

Just received mine today. Gorgeous piece,it has the upswept beavertail and 100 years of service roll mark. Stripped and cleaned and ready to try it out!!! Great and fast service from Bud's as usual.

Just a quick update... I ordered a few Wilson Combat Part# 47D magazines, and the gun feeds anything. Totally Reliable.

First of all... It was excellent as usual ordering from Bud's. The gun is amazing. It fits my hand like a glove. The fit and finish of this gun is absolutely perfect. I have owned many guns (Sigs mostly), and the quality of this Colt is BETTER. There are no "rough" or slightly defective areas I have found on the gun. It shoots like I had imagined (very good). It will not feed Hornady Tap FPD ammo, so don't waste your money on it. It feeds all other types of ball and hollowpoint ammo I have tried so far great. Bottom line. This is a great gun.

Great customer service from Buds!!! If it's not a colt it's a copy, but their are some amazing copies out there! Recoil is a bit tough due to weight. Sweet grip angle, amazing finish and just looks great. One must mod is to switch out the duck bill grip safety with a beaver tail grip safety...
