I've had my Henry .44 Magnum for going on two years and shot it enough to say without doubt or hesitation, it is the most accurate rifle I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. I qualified as "expert" with both the M14 and M16 when I was active duty in the US Army 1969-1972, (two tours of Vietnam) . Those were fine weapons, especially the M14, but this Henry Big Boy is just outright fun to shoot, and dead-on accurate out of the box. I've made no adjustments, I just keep the brass polished for looks. Tried a few different brands of ammo with no issues. Would try more, but thanks to our present political climate, ammo is not easy to find (or affordable). Still, I do enjoy the Henry on occasion and will continue to do so as long as possible.

Buds gun shop had the best price around, I priced this gun at 800 and up. I love this gun, I went with the 44 mag because the gun ranges will allow me to shoot this in pistol ranges. The gun is beautiful, the stock as well as the bronze receiver and every time I bring this gun to the range I get many compliments . I shoot nothing but reloads, 800x and blue dot powder with 240g projectiles. This gun has much more recoil then a 30-30 but is very accurate. I will admit that the gun is heavier then the Winchester but that's because of the octagon barrel. I give this gun 5 stars because I cant find a single problem with it, It shoots everything I throw at it.

This gun is beautiful. Shoots great, with hardly no recoil. Action is the smoothest ive ever felt. Buds service was awesome. Thanks

First, Buds was GREAT...nice folks to deal with and Fast shipping! On the Henry...I like the fact that they are American made. The company is easy to deal with. And I like that they attempt to take a modern firearm and give it an historical flare with the octagonal barrel and brass receiver. I like the way it loads through the cylinder like some .22s. It has the smoothest leaver action of any rifle I've handled. It's a nice size and is well balanced. I think it fills a niche for the .44 class carbines that is good for heavy brush hunters as well being popular with cowboy action shooters. I 'feel' uncomfortable with there not being a safety setting on the hammer. I tend to think that the stock would look better if the wood was more natural and not so 'dressy'. Finally...personally I would have not called it the 'Big Boy'. I'd have called it the 'Stud-Muffin'!!!

Great gun - 44 Mag, same ammo as my Desert Eagle and the two are just great. Service at Buds is as good as it gets. You can track the package from scan to delivery, Which took 3 days. Could not be more satisfied. This gun is awesome, it just feels right. Almost as good as my M1 Grande. Got to thank Henry for making such a absolutly awesome gun.
