Awesome pistol. I use it during muzzleloader season. So far have killed one doe with it. I kept it loaded I'm my safe for one year and it went off with out a hitch. A .54 cal roundball hits with authority. It went through both shoulders of a doe at about 30 yards.

Nice gun but the grip was too thick. I had one back in the 80s and the grip was much better. I sanded down the grip like they were in the 80s and re-stained it to match the rest of the gun. Now it is perfect. Shoots great just like my other Lyman muzzleloaders. Maybe the grip will fit good in your had? I would say if you like it guy it. Buds shipped it out right away!
