I love this rifle. Came PACKED in cosmoline as noted by others. A lot more than I was expecting. Bolt held open horribly until the rifle was completely disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. Once totally cleaned, it looks to be in outstanding condition. Took it to the range and put 100rds through it so far and ran flawlessly. Sights were straight. Came with magazine and bayonet lugs which I was told were not options on this kit. Bonus. I am VERY happy with this rifle. Got a lot of attention at the rifle range full of ARs. Very happy with the rifle and transaction.

A good, solid rifle but you are getting what you pay for. It needed an extensive cleaning and a couple hundred hundred rounds through it before it was cycling reliably. After that, it has been as reliable as an AK is supposed to be. I quickly added a better stock and an actual compensator (I don't know what you'd call what comes on it but a thread protector). Since then it has eaten up ammo and become one of my favorite rifles. It's only remaining issue is that it doesn't like the polymer mags. They stick and hang up when you load them. I can only assume that I can file on the mags and make them function better, I just haven't had time to work on them.

I got this a couple of weeks ago and got it on 12/22/11, so about a week. It only came with one 30 magazine but luckily I got another metal one from my FFL for $17. I took it home and the first thing I did was take it apart and clean it. It took me about an hour since these rifles come filthy, caked with grease. The safety lever was a bit hard but that's just something that needs oil and a lot of use to get soft and it has by now. I know AKs don't need to be wet with oil like an AR but I like to treat it like an AR. It doesn't hurt it. It did not come with the cleaning rod or the cleaning kit in the butt stock. I bought those separately on Amazon for about $12 a piece. Not necessary but I think the cleaning rod completes the look of the rifle and it's nice to have the cleaning kit. Magazine wobble is noticeable but it does NOT affect performance at all. If a mag is loaded it won't wobble. I did buy a TAPCO magazine and that one does not wobble at all loaded or unloaded. They are good magazines and anyone thinking about buying this rifle should consider getting a couple. I took it out to the open and shoot about 200 rounds. The rifle was flawless and accurate. Luckily I did not get canted sights. The post is slightly left but that can be adjusted. I was firing at a mountain top and scoring hits every time on the targets I had set up. Admittedly it's not as accurate as an AR. The AR is accurate up to 500 meters. This puppy is only accurate up to about 250 - 300 meters. That's fine by me considering that I only use this thing for fun and NOT for combat. However it is my understanding that most combat situations happen within 300 meters so either way I'm covered. Overall I am very happy with this product. I think it's more fun to shoot than an AR and it's much easier to maintain.

Just picked up my new AK a couple of days ago. I have only had a chance to run about 20 rounds out of it so far, but I don't think that I will have any issues with the gun. Actullay my AK came fairly clean (after reading some reveiws about being packed full of packing grease). The forend is not of top quality, I will probally replace with a quad rail system at some point. The gun feels and looks awsome I think I will get many years of use from this weapon. I was really surprised at how accurate the AK really is, shot nice groups at 75 yards. Both mags that came with gun fit very well and is not loose fitting at all. Overall I am very happy with my new toy.

I finally got this little unit to the range today and shot four different brands of ammo through it. At 20 and 50 yds with open sights, S&B and Silver Bear (both soft point) made tight groups. The S&B rose an inch or two at 50 yds, which is probably about right for a short barrel, so I would like to try that ammo again at 100 yds with a scope. Maybe Mrs, Claus will bring me a new scope for it this year! This is a good firearm and has a nice feel to it while in action.
