I love the size and feel of this gun especially with the 8-round mag extension. It is louder than my 5" .45 Para and recoil is impressive. It is accurate (Tack-driver given its tiny size) and easy to operate. UNFORTUNATELY, I could not get it to reliably feed (FTE) with any ammo from day one. I ran a few hundred rounds through it before I contacted the factory. They sent me a new extractor that arrived promptly. I replaced the new extractor, spring and screw without any significant difference in reliability. I recontacted the factory, sent it in and It was returned 6 weeks later with a new slide with all internals and took it to the range and restarted the break-in period and thought it had been repaired, BUT after about 300 rounds it started failing to eject again. In all fairness, my brother has carried a PF-9 and has had no reliability issues. When I researched this gun for purchase, it sounded like if you get a good one you got one, otherwise sell it and buy another. That is what I am doing, and the only reason I can do so in good conscience is the lifetime factory warranty. I am replacing my PF-9 with another Para... this time it will be the Para Ord .45 ACP 6 + 1.

Awesome small carry pistol in 9mm!! The Kel-Tec PF9 is a sleeper! It is a cheap and reliable pistol that is small and easy to carry. People who bad mouth this gun simply hate it's cheap price. It is reliable, very well made and accurate. Why carry a 380 auto when you can have full 9mm protection?

i have bought 2 of these from buds , buds always does a great job with shipping and prices this is the 1 of the 2 that have been teething it has a few failure to extract . still worth the money just put them through the tests before you expect them to work after the first bang still a good deal i would buy another one

Bought this gun with intentions of making it my primary carry but was very dissapointed with reliability. Upon receiving it, I dissasambled and cleaned it. I shot the first 100 rounds (with 2 FTF)and went back and checked any friction areas on the slide and frame. I sanded and polished those areas and went back to the range. Another 100 Rounds and 2 more FTE. These is all with factory ammo. Shot another 200 and again had 4 more FTE. At this point I took it to the local Gunsmith to have it checked but he assured me that there was nothing wrong with the gun. I took it home and polished the ramp and barrel to see if this would help but after another 100 rounds, same issue. After 2 weeks of shooting this gun, my hand was sore as hell! Its not that the recoil is extra violent, its the geometry of the gun that along with the firm kick punishes your hand. Not a Range gun for sure. Accuracy was very good considering how the platform. If you get one the works flawlwsly, you will have a good CCW but mine didn't inspired confidence so I sold it.
