The Lea Baer Premier II is a great entry level hand gun .Buds has very nice products and has good Emails and fast shipping.

Bucket list item.. I saved a long time for this gun and it was worth the wait.
Every man at some point, should have one good gun and one good woman.

I bought this Les Baer last summer from Buds. It took me a while to get to the review. I've put about 1,400 rounds of 230 gr. FMJ through it, mostly Federal American Eagle with some S&B and Remington mixed in. The pistol has not missed a beat. As expected from Les Baer, it is very accurate. I highly recommend this Les Baer pistol.

I got my breakin 500 rounds through it with only 2 malfunctions, none of which were the fault of the gun. It is very accurate though I was more interested in getting it broken in than doing 25 and 50 yard tests. I was a little disappointed with the trigger but I'm very spoiled having several 1911's that I did trigger jobs on but it is just over 4# as it's represented. The trigger is a crisp, smooth break so there's no legitimate complaint. Overall I love the gun. I was warned it is a tight gun and that's an understatement, this gun is even hard to disassemble it has such close tolerances but that's where the accuracy comes from and you won't be racking the slide with a few fingers. You'll love it.

Les Baer Premier II has been on my want list for years. In my collection are Colts,a Kimber and 1911s that I built. The Les Baer I received is a beautiful piece to look at and hold. When field stripped, I was somewhat disappointed. The top of the frame had sharp edges on the rails. The cotton patches got caught on the edges. After a light stoning, problem solved. I feel like the gunsmith should have done this. The slide and frame fit is very tight, like you want, but the sharp edges are not needed or wanted. Maybe, I am just too picky. Anyway, the gun fits in my collection very well.

I am still breaking in the Les Baer PII I purchased from Buds, and this will take a while longer. The particular pistol they sent me is georgous, and I am quite sure I will grow to truly love it. I have a Colt Competition 1911 also, and the Les Baer is of a much higher quality, saying nothing against Colt. They make a quality 1911 also. (And, I saved $400+ buying the Les Baer through Buds online instead of buying through any of my local gun shops.) I’ve bought several accessories from Buds also, and so far I have been very happy with my experiences with Buds. They do as promised. I have an order being shipped now, and will certainly continue to order from them.

This is by far the best 1911 that I have handled. It points nicely and the trigger is crisp. Buds gun shop delivered a quality pistol at a great price. Regards Kevin M

Absolutely amazing. The finish and tolerances of this firearm are like nothing I have ever seen upto and including Wilson Combat. I'm not a weak man but I really did have to put some muscle into cocking it. There isn't the fainest whisper of play anywhere in the gun. It is as spot on out of the bag as I believe is possible. The people as Les Baer were also very friendly and helpful with upgrade questions. This is an organization I will be an advocate of and an heirloom I will be proud of. Buds was fantastic as usual. Shipped quickly and the gun was delivered in perfect condition. There's a reason I won't buy through anyone else.

Bought my Les Baer P ll last summer from Buds and have put 9200 rounds down the tube, the slide frame fit is still Very Very Tight. Tighter in fact than most brand new 1911`s. Being like a Les bear it also shoots like a laser, eating everything fed it.
