Bought this auto from Buds, it was my first purchase with them and what a great experience. I should have been shopping here before. Yes, it took awhile for it to ship but once shipped it arrived in 2 days. I can't complain about that since the item shipped for free. I never have been a 1911 fan but decided a standard 1911 would be nice, something I could use as a work gun. I was going to buy the standard until I saw this one and for the money and what you get, you can't beat the price. If I had to buy again I would buy the same gun. I purchased it for $471 and it ran within a week for $461. I put a claim into buy/safe and got a $10. check back with their 30 day low price guarantee. So, if you are on the fence and aren't sure about this auto and Buds Gun Shop or the buy/safe guarantee it is time to get off the fence. Thanks to Buds and Buy/safe for your business.

Very happy with my RIA tactical. After cleaning off the shipping liube and relubing it with froglube, it has been rock solid. Eats every ammo that I've tried in it, and is amazing to shoot. I've got over 600 rounds thru it now without a single issue. Has been more reliable than the ruger 1911 a friend got around the same time. Mine was purchased in December 2013, and has the full billboard logo on the side. I like the way it looks.

Always been wanting a 1911 but didnt want to pay a premium for one. Budsgunshop happen to have this one for a good price a few weeks ago so i had to go for it. Online reviews were mixed but after receiving it and going through it it was a good buy. It came with 1 mag which had no feeding problems. After cleaning and going to the range it functioned flawlessly. The sights are plain black. A little white paint on the rear and front sights aid in a better sight picture. I needed to get used to the sights as i needed to hold em over the bullseye to hit it, otherwise this 1911 is overall accurate. Very happy with this purchase will continue to do business with Buds.

LOVE this gun. LOVE it. I didn't even know if I'd really want a 1911, but the price made me interested. All it took was 1 trip to the range and I was hooked. This is WAY more fun to shoot than my glock 19. Just with 45 ammo wasn't so expensive. There are a few unfortunate things with my gun though. The front of the slide on mine came a little discolored. Almost like light 'veins' across it. Somewhat unfortunate, but I'm hoping that over time they wear away. The gun only came with 1 magazine. On a plus side, the magazine it does come with is very nice. Has a nice coating on it. When it was new the magazine didn't slide out easily, but after a few load/unloads, it now slides right out with the push of the magazine release button. The gun came in a bag CAKED with oil. I mean caked. But surprisingly, cleaning it wasn't that bad. Just disassembled it and scrubbed it with mineral spirits. Took about 30 minutes. Overall I'm very, very pleased with this firearm. It's not as 'pretty' as some of the more expensive ones, but it has a nice rugged look nonetheless. This one's gonna stay with me for a long, long time.

Has all the usual upgrades that I'd normally want...bobbed hammer, skele trigger, beavertail safety, etc. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet since it just got dropped off at my FFL yesterday, but I did get around to field stripping and cleaning it(comes drenched in what looks/feels like used motor oil). Nice finish, tight fit on everything, functions smoothly. Looks like the trigger has travel adjustment on it as well, though I haven't messed with it yet. It has the ambi thumb safety which I'm not a huge fan of, but it's not a big deal. The sights are also very basic, no dot on the front, rear dots aren't filled/colored. Ships with a basic plastic box w/ foam insert and one mag. No additional mags, no lock, no tools(a barrel bushing wrench would have been nice). Not really out of the ordinary for a sub-$500 pistol, and what you see on the product page is what you get, so I won't lower the rating for any of this. Was hoping for the new smaller RIA rollmark on the left/rear of the slide but got the billboard advertisement instead which I thought was discontinued. Maybe this is just leftover stock. So far it's a great 1911 for the price, with a fit and finish that rivals other more expensive 1911s I've owned.

Tight slide fit. Nice trigger. Some sharp corners. Ran 40 rounds of Winchester and Remington without problems except it shoots 4" low at 10 yds.
