This is my ground squirrel gun (most used)- Majority of my shots are 20-60 yards and this sucker is dead on when my scope is dialed in. This is a great balance between accuracy and price. I had a 10/22 decked out with tactical solutions barrel and all the tricks. I feel like this is just as accurate with bulk ammo and 1/3 the price. I also love the balance with the heavier barrel. It's proportioned very well. This is one of the guns in my safe I would never sell. If your looking at a normal 10/22- get this one. For $100 more you get the extended mag release, better barrel, sling mounts, and enhanced trigger. Can't say enough about it. Did I mention its a beautiful gun in person?

I have not had a chance to use this rifle yet, so my comments will only concern my impressions of the item and the buying experience. I will try and update after going to the range. The rifle is very nice. The finish on the wood and metal was well done, nothing special, but no flaws that I could find, either. Very comfortable to hold. The rubber butt pad is very soft. Being a .22 the recoil is insignificant, but the pad keeps the stock from sliding around on your shoulder. The trigger breaks at 3 lbs and is very consistent. It feels much better than the triggers my other 10/22's came with, which all broke at around 6-7 lbs before upgrading. The barrel is pretty heavy... not a bull barrel but much stouter than the usual. The taper of the barrel is very attractive. Can't wait to see how accurate it is.

I have been wanting/waiting for a new Ruger 10/22 20” LVT for some time, the upgraded components/barrel make it ideal for target and hunting. Bud’s was one of the first to carry my ideal 22 lr. and @ a good price. The transfer/shipping was quick and painless, I will always look @ Bud’s when needing a firearm.

Great gun! I had read on Rimfirecentral that the LVT model was very accurate so I decided to try one out. I had read the trigger was to be around 4 pounds, on my Lyman digital scale mine reads around 3 pounds. I put a Hawke 4-12 scope on it and at 25 yds have shot 1/4" 5 shot groups and at 50 yds had under 3/4" 5 shot groups using CCI Standard velocity ammo. Not to shabby for a production 10/22 with non premium ammo.

I have had many Ruger 10/22's in the last 45 years but this one is the perfect one. It is not too light like the sporter and not too heavy like the bull barrel. This one shoots as good as my stainless steel bull barrel version .It shoots well with most hunting ammo and is a tack driver with most match ammo. I did put a new Ruger trigger group in it which is well worth the money. The gun has a very good feel to it with the wood stock. Buds had the best price and shipping was fast.

Great rifle, super accurate out of the box. Didnt want a target rifle with a bull barrel neither a regular 10/22 so this one is on the middle. Tapered medium/heavy barrel, nice full size wood stock and is free floated. The trigger is good but not that good. I ended up replacing it, but thats personal taste. I like really light triggers. If you can find one of this awesome rifles get it before is gone. Having at least 4 10/22's before ......This one is a keeper!!!

The 10/22 is an excellent rifle for the money. I have found the VLT to be more accurate than my 10/22 carbine. The metal wood/wood fit and finish is about average as compared to my other guns in that price range. One nice thing about 10/22s is there is almost unlimited upgrades that can be done at a reasonable cost and most I can do myself. I bought the LVT model because it meets the factory class in ABRA shoots. Because of some club shoots that limit guns to "iron sights" I wish ruger made the barrel so a front sight could be added...like my anschutz MPR 64.

Love this 10/22. Adult sized stock with light varmint barrel. Very accurate.

An excellent rifle regardless of the cost but a great deal from Buds'. Shipped out quick to my FFL and all was smooth. Trigger pull is much light than my 10/22-DSP which is stock and way too heavy. Has a nice balance and not front heavy like a full varmint heavy CZ barrel. More accurate than I am that is for sure. Put an inexpensive Simmons 3x9x32 Mag on it, got it sighted in and got 1/2" groups at 25 yds with a front rest only. This rifle is a nice addition to the 10/22-Deluxe Sporter walnut in my safe. Will likely move this Target trigger over to the DSP and put a KIDD or Hornet Prod trigger in the newer LVT.

Unpacking the LVT, I was impressed by the appearance. This looks like a serious tool, all substance and no glamor. The barrel profile is heavy but the taper toward the muzzle keeps it from being too muzzle heavy, a solid and steady feel in the hands. The finish on wood and metal is utilitarian, but of decent quality. The action cycled smoothly and the trigger had less take up and overtravel than the standard trigger. Calling it a target trigger would be going a little too far, it's still quite a heavy pull. The bore was either rusty from storage or coated in a stubborn black substance that took some effort to remove. I mounted a VX1 2-7 and went to the range. Shots at 25 and 50 yards resulted in nice tight groups. Several failures to eject with Aguila ammo, none with Federal or CCI. Hoping break in makes it more reliable. I like this rifle very much, it seems to be built with accuracy seeking shooters in mind.

great little rifle, tossed a nikon rimfire 4x32 scope on it and is dream to shoot at 50 yards! target trigger pack is WORLDS above the standard 10-22 trigger, larger profile barrel does not make it much heavier. stock checkering adds quite a bit of grip, included sling swivels is an added plus also! glad i made this purchase!

I received the rifle from my transfer dealer and took it home. I opened it all up and found that the barrel had many small (one being about 3" long but very narrow) surface scratches. Having already taken possession of it from the dealer I could not return it. I went to install the scope bases (Warne mounts that I ordered from Bud's and one was very discolored-almost silver with a slight bluing) and found that one of the screws would not thread because the hole in the receiver had minimal threads for the screw to grip. I ended up using threadlock to hold the screw in place. I mounted the scope (Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40) and took it to the range. After a few adjustments I can say that this thing is a true tac-driver. I can easily hit a dime sized target at 25yds. To me the rifle gets a 5/5 for looks, 5/5 for accuracy, 1/5 for quality control. 11/15 or 3.66/5. I would recommend this rifle to others but I would advise looking the rifle over very carefully before accepting it.

Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but it looks great. The barrel makes for a nice easy balance of the rifle. All the controls are easy to access. The finish seems nice enough for the price. The great thing about the 10/22 is the seemingly limitless upgrades and modifications that you can make.

Beautiful rifle, although the action doesn't fit squarely in the stock. I'm more concerned about accuracy than looks. I put a 6x scope on it, and had it sighted in within 5 minutes. At 50 yards, this rifle will shoot 1/2 inch with mini-mag ammo. Overall, I'm very please with this rifle!!!!

Absolutely beautiful rifle! I love just looking at it! I got it in about a week and Bud's is fairly easy to deal with. I put a Simmons 3x9 .22 scope on it. Took it out this weekend and got it sighted in with less than 10 shots. Shot 1/2" groups after that with cheap Remington ammo. My 10 year old son shot the gun and I thought I would never get it back from him (his first time getting to shoot a scoped rifle :) All in all I had no FTF or FTE in 550 round. Not much more to say. A 10/22 is already amazing and this upgraded version just puts icing on the cake.
