I ordered online on a Tuesday afternoon, and It arrived at my FFL dealer Friday morning. Really fast shipping from Buds. As for the rifle itself, WOW! I pulled it out of the shipping box and I was impressed at the condition for a 1943 Izhevsk Mosin. All numbers match except for the bayonet (as expected). The stock had 2 minor dings (hardly noticeable) and the finish looks great. Mine wasn't counter bored, and came with all accessories a Mosin normally comes with (sling, 2 ammo pouches, oil can, cleaning tools, etc.). The bore is in great shape too! As I was taking it apart, on the underside of the barrel there were 2 small areas of pitting, but nothing too bad (not enough Cosmoline... :-P). There was no other rust anywhere. This thing is ridiculously easy to take apart and clean! Not to mention, Buds customer service is fast and easy. They're very prompt via e-mail. All in all, this was a great buy for $140 and I will definitely be buying from Buds again!

I recently bought one of these and like most others, mine was above "Very Good" condition considering it is a 1938 Tula manufacture. The stock finish is understandably a bit rough but the wood itself is surprisingly free of serious dents and no splitting at all. The steel parts are above reproach and the bore is shiny, sharp and pit free. I received the tool kit, two ammo pouch sets, oil can and a bayonet. As is typical, the bayonet is the only thing that has non-matching numbers and will require a bit of Dremel work to install but no big deal really. I had intended to refinish the stock and even went so far as to buy all the materials to do so but on further reflection, I decided to leave the stock as is since (in my estimation) the condition adds a bit of character. This is my third purchase from Bud's and every transaction has been flawless.

I've been wanting a Mosin for a long time. With the recent flood of accessories on the market I wanted to build a nice long distance shooter that fired affordable ammo. I've seen several local pawn shops and gun stores carrying loads of Type 53's, M44's and 91/30's. Most of them looked like they were used for shovels, tent poles and baseball bats and being sold for over $200. I just wanted a 91/30 with a shiny bore and good action. The stock would be disposable. So I took a shot and ordered the VG condition model. In the mean time I picked up a sniper bolt, Archangel stock, scope, mount and bipod all for twice as much as I paid for the rifle. When I got the rifle it was covered in cosmo of course but beneath the grease was the most beautiful 91/30 I have ever seen. It was well taken care of with zero rust and minimal dings on the stock. This is in such good condition that it seems almost a sacraliege to drill and tap holes for the scope mount or to cut the barrel bands to mount the new stock. This is the first time in my life I have asked for near junk and got near pristine. Even luckier for me the guy at the Century arms warehouse momentarily forgot how to count and put two of all of the accessories in my box. Two slings, oil bottles etc. Awesome! I could not be happier. Thank you Buds. Customer for life!

I am very happy, no rust, bright bore, nice crown both were 1942 izzy's and they were delivered in 3 days. Can't beat the deal or the great service from Buds! After seeing these I am definately ordering a few more before they are gone!

I just picked up my Mosin-Nagant M91/30 a few hrs ago. I spent about 2 hrs doing the initial wiping down to remove the oily substance they use to keep the gun from rusting while in storage. I am very impressed with the condition its in. Very light scratched in the stock and I do mean light scratches. All the serial numbers match. My rifle was made in 1943 and for its age, I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. AN awesome rifle for the price. You cant go wrong with this rifle. Thanks Buds you did a great job on describing the item and another great job having it to me in 3 days.. Thanks

Maybe I just got lucky, but this was the best condition M-N I have seen anywhere. Perfect steel! Put a ATI stock on it and a cheap scout scope. Looks like a brand new gun. For $300 I have a gun that out shoots my pre 64 Winchester Model 70 30-06.
