Overall, very poor quality in material and workmanship. There is nothing good that I can say about this shotgun. This item is not recommended.

Got this gun recently and it's totally unworkable. The action kept jamming. Figured it may need a bit of break in. Managed to struggle through about 20 rounds before it jammed with one in the chamber. It did slam fire good though. No take down instructions even for basic cleaning. Found some you tube videos for model 97 teardown and got the round out of the chamber. Contacted the repair facility for a return authorization and was referred to Cimmaron for a replacement gun rather than repair. Evidently they're having a lot of problems. Hopefully the next one functions right, if not, would be a cool wall decoration.

Buds great! The Cimmaron 1897, poor at best At the same time I purchased the IAC 97 and the IAC is much better. At first glance out of the box the Cimmaron looked nice but upon closer examination the finish is rough at best. The fit is no better and it does not cycle as it should. I was going to use it to build a trench gun but the barrel is much to large to fit into the heat shield assembly. Going to sell or trade the Cimmaron ASAP. I might have rated it 3 stars if I did not have the IAC to compare it to. So I recommend others to spend a few dollars more and be happy with the IAC.

shotgun are imported from china by polytec. come with no choke wrench and only one choke tube (ic i would guess) no takedown instructions included (can find one site on facebook for takedown but have to search of it). action is a little rough but what do you expect from china,might loosen up some after breakin period. at this time unable to find another dealer for this weapon. price i would say is about right.
