Fantastic firearm. Surpsingly accurate to at least 250+ yards. Surprised at how much the price of this gun has got over the past 10 years. I got mine for 830!

Oh man I love this rifle. Plenty of rounds through it, including some at 3-gun style competitions, and it has not given me any trouble. I stuck an Ultimak gas-tube rail and an Aimpoint Micro T-1 on this rifle and it is the bees-knees. Every time I shoot with AR-owning friends, they are jealous of the looks and performance of this rifle. All rounds through the rifle have been Wolf steel case cheapo. One thing that sucks is the Arsenal trigger assembly. I quickly replaced it with a Tapco G2 and it made this rifle one sweet shooter.

this is a heads up for potential buyers. the rifle i received on 12-11-12 came with receiver markings from FIME, NOT Arsenal. after a bit of research it seems the prevailing opinion is that FIME is the new Izhmash importer of SGLs and has taken over the SGL line from Arsenal and is using the same parts and production methods. i am not an AK expert but this rifle seems to be high quality, fit and finish are excellent. so, don't be surprised if you order and SGL and receive a firearm with FIME markings on the receiver. they may want to relocate these rifles into their own section to avoid confusing some customers who don't do their homework.

Definitely one of the best AK pattern weapons I have ever owned. You really pay for quality when you buy Arsenal and you can definitely feel that quality in how it handles and operates. The finish on the rifle is decent, but it is rather prone to scratching, though I personally believe it gives a rifle character. The one complaint I have about this rifle is the trigger. It has a long pull and the reset doesn't feel very good but it is a very able rifle despite it. I installed a tapco G2 trigger and a high tension Wolff recoil spring and it is border lining excellence.

Another awesome product from buds, arrived quickly and was new in box as promised. All parts new from Izamash and fime. I love this weapon, so light and versatile, great finish and no errors. Rock solid.

This is my first Arsenal, and what a beautiful weapon it is. It is first rate as far as fit and finish, absolutely beautiful. Great fast shipping from Bud's and the best price around. I have not fired the weapon yet, but by the test target that came with it, it is a very accurate shooter.

As usual ,super fast delivery/great deal/product came as advertised or better! Put 100n rounds through it today with the Tapco 30round mags also ordered here and it went "bang" everytime. First rifle ive shot for some time,so I cant give everyone a real expert analysis of this rifle,but from he research ive done everyone before me is correct. You will be happy with this rifle. On a side note. I live in IL. I kinda allways wanted to have an AK style rifle ...well ... just to have. I kinda figured that with this upcomming election , was wanting to get mine before this type of rifle gets outlawed of priced out where we wont be able to afford it... Anyway, thanks Buds! Ordered the item on Thursday night and received it the following Tuesday. I live in Ohio so I think that had something to do with the fast shipping. I was hesitant to make my first purchase through Buds Gun Shop but, it all turned out awesome. The firearm arrived in excellent condition in a heavy duty plastic bag and box. The sights were not canted and everything was brand new. This is my first AK but I wanted a good quality firearm with high resell value. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I will continue to do business with Buds in the future.

Why would you spend over $800 on an SGL21 AK? Because it's worth it. I had a Romanian WASR several years ago and it couldn't hold a candle to this rifle. Actually having an AK variant with the Izhmash name and made in Russia stamped on it just brings on a warm fuzzy feeling as well that all AK owners should have. One thing to be aware of; this is not an Arsenal AK. Where it should read Arsenal it now says FIME Group. Apparently there is a lot of mystery about what is going on with Arsenal and Izhmash. However, FIME is now the chosen US distributors of Izhmash Saiga variants. I still haven't read anything conclusive about Arsenal's status so who knows? Shipping wasn't as fast for me as I had hoped. I've read a lot of reviews of people spouting how they received their firearm in 2-3 days. Mine pushed 2 weeks to get from Kentucky to the Western US. Oh well, it arrived and I'm happy with Bud's overall. It was a good buying experience. The rifle rocks. Seriously, if you are interested in one, buy one. They are well worth the extra coin over their competitors. I say competitors, but honestly, I don't know of anyone else who makes an AK that is readily available that can stand against these. They are fine guns and a blast to shoot.

Arsensal has done a great job on these rifles. The fit is solid, the finish is excellent and the front sight is straight! Although more expensive than the Century Polish AKMS I had, this is by far a much better product and produces tighter groups. The only thing I would change is that I would have preferred a rail on the fore stock, but that is an easy fix. Bud's service was outstanding!

Purchased the SGL2161 hoping it was as high a quality AK47 that the reviews made it out to be. I only have two minor items to note about my purchase of this gun through BudsGunshop. Buds description says this gun has no extra commercial markings on the receiver but it does in fact have the Las Vegas NV (Arsenal) commercial stamp on one side. Unfortunately, it's in big letters right next to all the "original style Russian" logos. The other minor nitpick is that the buttstock has the compartment for the cleaning kit but there is no cleaning kit included with the gun from Buds. According to the manufacturing details of these guns, the kits are included with all guns at the time of build which means the kits are stripped out some time between importation and Arsenal USA/Budsguns time of sale. These guns come with cleaning rod only, you'll have to buy the cleaning brush kit separately if you can find it elsewhere. Great gun overall and no complaints about Buds specifically. Processing was slower than ideal but this is an election year and they had a gun available that nobody else had at the time. Gun quality and build seem to be well above average.

Excellent rifle... Best group was 2" with Barnaul 123 fmj... Average group size 3.5" with standard Wolf type steel case ammunition. Rifle looks great and the shipping for the hard to find item went off really quickly and without a hitch. Arsenal are pretty pricey and I hesitated but after owning a Saiga sporter and putting a skeletonized stock and all that I just had to get the real thing and who knows what will happen to these types of firearms with this coming election and really all other future elections... Get this rifle while you can. I got it for the 795 price but now can't find it anywhere for that price and with the upcoming election the price will surely go up. I am glad I got the Arsenal product and do not see anything out there that can match the quality and look right out of the box...

A very well manufactured firearm. None of the rough, raw edges of my M10. Solid fit, overall clean finish. Went out today after replacing stock with a Kicklite and put 200 rounds of steel case through it without a single issue while proving to be surprisingly accurate. Nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you made a good purchase. Buds service and shipping was on spot, I had done a lot of prior research before choosing to do business with them and like this rifle it would appear I made a good choice there to. Thanks.

Thanks again Bud's. Ordered on a Thursday, and it was at my FFL the following Tuesday. Fit and finish were excellent. This is a great shooting rifle. Sure an Arsenal costs more, but buy once, cry once. I am very pleased with this weapon. It does what it's meant to do...puts damage into a critical area at 100 yards. Fired 120 rounds fast, no hiccups. Careful, it will get hot. This is the Warsaw stock, I'm 6-2 and it feels right for this weapon. I have always received great firearms and excellent service from Bud's.

Sold a Century to buy the Arsenal. The fit and finish is better that the Century, but the price does not reflect the quality of the gun IMO. The Doublestar Star 15 I bought from Buds for $669 is hands down a better rifle. I will still keep it for my collection.

First off, the service was great. I placed the order online and within a week or so the SGL-21 arrived at my FFL for pickup. Showed up in great condition, no damage done and packed up in a white box. Included was a target from Arsenal, a 5 round magazine, 2 manuals and a rifle wrapped in plastic. The gun is awesome looking. Very good tolerances and very well built. Comes with standard polymer furniture, but you can add rails and such to trick it out and make it yours. This gun DOES accept all AK-47 mags, as it states. I've tried European surplus and Tapco polymer mags and both fit very well, with extremely minimal mag wobble. Overall extremely satisfied and I would order from Bud's again. I wish I could afford more rifles like this!

Completely dependable. I would carry this weapon anywhere. I don't like the "painted" finIsh but it is parkerized under the paint so it's all good. Great buy.

Really nice rifle and great price! It took about 2 weeks from the day that I ordered until it was delivered to the ffl, though I did pay by e-check which takes more time to process. My only complaint, and it's not the fault of Bud's, is that the front sight is made of plastic. You would think that a small appendage like that would be made of steel...oh well. I can't wait to get it to the range!

This was my first online and AK purchase, I own two ARs and always wanted a AK. Was going to get the M-10, but end up settling on the Arsenal SGL due to the many positive reviews. Despite the long wait to clear ACH it only took two day to arrive at my FFL once it shipped. It arrived in awesome condition with the finish looking great. I cant wait to take it out this weekend to the range. I will buy from buds again! Thanks Buds!
