great gun. wish i would have known it came with the cleaning rod, it cost me $20 to buy one. tons of cool stuff to customize this rifle. utg forward quad rail is a must and a new rear grip. haven't shot yet, but assume it will be as solid as my other ak's. great deal, get them while you can

I am very pleased with this rifle. I shot 200 plus rounds of Tula with zero problems. I sighted the rifle in at 50 yards and barely had to move the front sight. My only complaints are the forward pistol grip and the stock, both of wich are easy fixes. I bought a UTG PRO quad rail and mounted a vertical foregrip that I had laying around and I am waiting for my amd65tech cheek riser (although the wire stock is not as bad as I thought it would be). I would highly recomend this ak variant. Thank you Buds, and TGI.

This is the first AK I have ever shot and also my first Bud's purchase. Ordered late on Tuesday, in my hands Friday! Bud's rocks! I had heard bad stories of bent sights and poor machine work on AK's but I am very happy to report that this AMD-65 AK was rock solid. I took it apart to clean it and it was not all that dirty from shipping. Took my son out to the strip mine range and shot about 200 rounds of Tulammo and Wolf. No problems whatsoever. And, whoever said that AK's are not accurate, well, this one is. I was able to keep 2 inch groups at 100 yards with no trouble. I did not properly adjust the front sight and used the back sight to change the point of aim. I forgot to take a pair of needle nose pliers so I had no way of adjusting the front sight. I will do so next time. The Zombies best not come around here!

Pulled it out f the box, loaded a 20 round magazine and shot a 3 inch shot group from 25 meters. Excellent weapon.

This gun is a bargain. I was scared that this gun was going to be what you expect a 439 dollar gun to be...junk. It actually seems to be a great gun. I bought the gun because I wanted a folder and despite the funky stock this gun is actually alot of fun to shoot. WHen compared to my friends Aresnal folder ($1100) in many ways this is a much better gun. The trigger is better on this gun, the metal is much cleaner and overall the gun seems just as well built as the arsenal. The only thing worse on this gun is the paint job. mine had some small spots missing paint at the rear of the reciever, however a big gripe against the arsenal is that its paint doesnt hold up either, so I would call that a tie. Mine works great with every mag i have tried. The only tricky thing about this gun is that it seems to be more difficult to line up the dust cover than on other AK's i have dealt with. I gave it 4 stars because my first gun ahd to be rejected at the FFL becuase of a messed up dust cover. Rejecting the gun wasnt as frustrating as dealing with Buds customer service. Bud's was great at shipping the gun quickly but it took them a week of calling them to get a return label. If things go smoothly Buds is great, but if there is a bump in the road Buds is terrible to deal with. Overall give the gun 4 stars and Buds 2.

WOW!!!! This gun ROCKS. The TAPCO magazine is worthless...get steel. However, when you shoot this gun, the world notices. It is loud, it lights up the world (bright flash) when fired with little to no recoil. You can shoot this as fast as you want at an 8" target at 30 yards and put all shots on target. Excellent action to the trigger, with very receptive, quick refire rates. Best AK deal on the market, just get steel magazines. You will LOVE this gun. Bud's description was picture perfect and service excellent. Thanks.
