I inspected the gun when it arrived at my desired FFL and I was pleased with how little wear there was. The front of the barrel showed signs of holster wear, but aside from that, the blueing is mostly present, I'd say ~80-85% in this case. There were a few dings and scratches, but nothing very deep. The mechanisms lock up tight and the trigger is very smooth and very light compared to my Colt New Service .45 revolver. I was a little disappointed with the grips that came on it. They are rubber and don't seem to have weathered too well. They show a lot more wear than the rest of the gun, so I'll be ordering some original grips in the coming days. I fired a few rounds off to get a feel for the gun, but I have yet to take it to a range and put it to paper, so I can't say how accurate it is, however, the rifling on mine makes me think this gun sat in a holster and was used 2-3 times for qualifications. This would definitely be a 5 star review if it weren't for the beat up rubber grips. Either way, if you're looking for a quality S&W Model 10 to take to the range and pay with, this is it. If you're looking for a safe queen, I'd look elsewhere. I may be ordering a second and a third soon, one for my father and one for my brother. Hopefully, those will be of similar quality.

I'll start off by saying once again, Thank You, Bud's. Received my New/ Old Police S&W Model 10 today, and I'm blown away by the Fantastic Condition This Revolver is in. I never imagined I'd get such a Beautiful Gun. No scrapes, nicks or rust anywhere, just a nice holster Patina highlighting parts of the gun. Can't wait to get to the range........... Thanks Agian Bud's, Lance

Great buy on a classic smith and wesson model 10. Some minor holster wear, but absolutely no rust and lock up was nice, for it's age. Smooth trigger pull, and very crisp in SA. Extremely satisfied.

I received my pistol two days ago. Upon initial inspection the gun is ALMOST as described, but not quite. The finish wear is such that the firearm is no where near a 70% condition firearm, I'd say mine is actually in the 40%-50% range, with major amounts of bluing worn completely through on the muzzle (both sides), the cylinder, and trigger guard, and many small nicks and scratches in the bluing that does exist. If you wanted to refinish this firearm, the nicks would still show through. The firearm does not wear Pachmayr grips, they are Uncle Mikes, and show enough wear that the rubberized checkering is completely worn off above the heel of the grip. That was the bad news. The good news is that the firearm has one of the smoothest double action pulls of any of my firearms, and the single action is excellent as well. It functions perfectly, and fires to point of aim at 7 yds, dead on the center of the target. Would I suggest anyone else buy one of these firearms? At this price of 319.00, no, unless you want a good firing firearm with a very bad finish and over all appearance. If you want a firearm that works perfectly well and don't care what it looks like, go for it, but for 319.00, you could still get a different firearm in practically new condition that will do the same thing as this one does. I don't believe I would buy one of these again unless the price was between 200.00 and 250.00, shipped to my FFL, and 250.00 would be really pushing it.
