ABSOLUTELY the best value for a hi-cap 9MM! Feels like a single stack, is a tack driver, feeds anything you can put through it, and for a polymer gun it is solid with the wall thickness twice that of similar guns. I have a CZ SP01 that I tuned with tons of aftermarket parts and the EAA is equal in reliability and accuracy. Excellent home defense pistol, you will not be sorry if you purchase this pistol.

Ordered on line for pickup at the Lexington store. Entire exchange went flawlessly with clear communication. Thanks to reading the reviews and the description first, I knew the 4.5" barrel did not match the picture, and I got exactly what I wanted. I have had this to the range twice, and it has functioned flawlessly and shoots great! It outshoots my Sig and a couple others and edges my Springfield Armory Omega .45. (Browning Buckmark is still the King!) Puts bargain Aquilla and other ball ammo right where the sights aim, as well as some +P hollowpoints. Examined ejected brass and the primer was fully dented right at the center. Noted the slightly sharp trigger edges. My office-work-soft hands were okay with it. My shooting partner today found the edges to be sharp, but still said it was the best shooter of the day. Pretty good single action and smoooooth double action. They have one on the wall at the Lexington store for $305.00 and it is a GREAT bargain! Now if only Buds had magazines to fit it......

Like many other people who have purchased on this site, this was my first online firearm purchase. Dealing with Bud's was extremely easy and the gun arrived in short order. The gun in fact was a 4.5 inch barrel unlike the photo. Not a big deal, for the price I would've taken either but the description DOES say 4.5 inch so I knew what I was getting. Bud's has a list of approved dealers that were not far from my house so I got to take my pick, extremely handy. The only bummer with this gun is the one magazine it comes with. One...that's all. For the price though I guess it's not a big deal but for those of you interested in this model, it takes pre-2005 Witness magazines. Bud's and lots of other places sell them. Went to the range with it two weeks later. Totally forgot to fire this in DA mode so I'll have to do that next time however, this was a great and accurate gun to shoot. Fixed front sight, dovetailed rear sight. Didn't put but 100 rounds through it but still had no problems. The frame is an internal frame much like a Sig/CZ/1911. Take down is tool-less and at the very most needs a hard surface because the slide stop needs to come out, though field stripping is easy as pie either way. This gun will also accept a .40S&W conversion kit you can order from EAA. Not a lot of modern holster options but still a good choice out there. I can see this being a good carry gun for me in the future in both 9mm and .40S&W. I encourage anybody to pick this up at this price. You won't be sorry.

I have had this gun for several weeks now. I have had no malfunctions in shooting 300 rounds through it, FMJs or HPs. It is a very well made pistol. I am very impressed with it. I have found that the magazines interchange seamlessly with those of my pre-B CZ 75. They are available from Midway for $22/each. I will echo the complaints regarding sharp edges on the trigger and tight magazines. Neither bothers me. Loading the mags and letting them sit a while should soften the springs, and a minute's work with a needle file cured the trigger. This is an excellent deal for $294 delivered. I would definitely recommend this pistol to anyone looking for an inexpensive, high quality 9mm.

WELL. TO TELL EVERYBODY THE TRUTH I LIKE BUDS GUN SHOP A LOT, BUT ((AND THAT'S A BIG BUT!!) BUT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT I WOULD I WISH THEY WOULD LOOK IN TO A BIT MORE AND I'M SURE FROM A BUSINESS STAND POINT WOULD NOT HURT A BIT. FIRST I MUST SAY THAT THIS MAKES THE THIRD FIRE ARM I HAVE BOUGHT WITH NO PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER.(AND HERE'S THE BUT) FIRST.... BUDS SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF A CUSTOMER PLAN WHERE IF THE PRICE OF A FIRE ARM DROPS WITH IN AN ACCEPTABLE TIME PERIOD THAT THEY WOULD MAKE GOOD ON THE DIFFERENCE. NOT SURE BOUT YOU BUT I HATE BUYING SOMETHING TO WATCH THE PRICE DROP AS SOON AS THE NEXT DAY.THAT WOULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE OF ME SHOPPING HERE RATHER THEN IMPACT OR EVEN ONE OF THE ONLINE DEALERS. SECOND...AS A BUDS VIP MEMBER, WHAT BENEFITS IF ANY DOES IT REALLY SECURE RATHER THEN NEXT DAY SHIPPING AND CLASSIFIEDS? NOT SURE BOUT YOU, BUT I'M A WORKING GUY, AND I WORK HARD FOR THAT MONEY BABY, BUT (AND THATS A BIG BUT!!) IT SEEMS LIKE I WOULD GET A BETTER DEAL IN WAITING (LIKE ONE EXTRA DAY) TO GET A FEW EXTRA BOXES OF SHELLS OR CARTRIDGES THAT I SPENT ON THE VIP. THAT"S ALL FOR NOW. I DO PLAN ON SHOPPING HERE AGAIN BUT,,, WISH THERE WAS A LITTLE MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK.

When I first saw this here at Bud's, I thought that I found an awesome deal. After much research and having the opportunity to run 50 rounds of Federal FMJ through it, I am still happy but my excitement is definitely toned down. There are a few things that any potential buyer should know. This specific 9mm Witness model #999044 is a special run varying from the other current Witness 9mm's in that it utilizes 16 round magazines originally from the pre-2005 Witness Classics, NOT the 17 round mags. Luckily these can still be found (EAA model #101900), however they don't have the plastic butt-plate of the included mag. Also the picture is of the 3.6" model, not this 4.5" one. When picking this up from my FFL I couldn't inspect it because it was swimming in cosmoline, not the thick waxy kind but more akin to 10w30 motor oil. After taking it home, field stripping and using an old pair of boxers to clean the preservative, I rem oiled it, checked the action and was able to thoroughly inspect it. Fit and finish was not par with the Witness reputation. On the inside part of the slide that has ridges that mesh with the barrel, there were metal shavings that prevented some of the surface from being blued. Also there is a spot on the slide serrations that looks as if the blueing is rubbed off or didn't take. The polymer frame had a trimming remnant along the top from the molding process, though this and also the metal shavings were easily removed by finger. It includes a simple plastic case, brass and bristle cleaning brushes and a trigger locking mechanism. At the range I found the mag to be easy to load except the last couple rounds. Round 16 was so tight that when attempting to chamber it would not leave the magazine and would wedge up against the ramp. Usually it would chamber after 4 or more slide releases, however twice I had to eject the mag, re-seat round 16 and start over. This was only an issue when the mag was full, effectively making this a 15+1 instead of a 16+1. Aside from this it shot flawlessly, except for a single stovepipe. Accuracy is great! Not sure if it was the long barrel, smooth SA trigger pull, or little felt recoil, but never before have I shot so well. At $300 this is definitely something I'd buy again.
