My Phoenix Arms HP22 Deluxe Rangemaster Kit came on time to my FFL. Shipping and tracking was perfect. Everything was in the Kit as described. I\'ve put 200 rounds through it, using both the 3\" and 5\" barrels. No malfunctions at all. The gun feels good and heavy in my hand, not \"cheap\" or poorly made at all. I\'m very pleased with it. I\'m actually thinking of buying the HP25 as well. This is a very well made gun at a very good price. No complaints whatsoever. Read the manual in detail about changing out the barrels and the use of the safeties.

A lot of bang for the buck! I bought the Phoenix HP22A deluxe rangemaster kit in the stainless steel. The stainless steel is actually a matte finish but it looks great and is easy to clean after a day at the range. Have had two range trips with the HP22A and have absolutely no complaints in accuracy or function. It shot Remington Golden Bullets, Thunderbolts , CCI standard velocity and Federal Automatch with no malfunctions. Total round count approximately 400 rounds. I bought the pistol for range use and to introduce new shooters to using firearms (friends and family) but love the option of the shorter barrel if needed for defensive purposes . Truly a versatile purchase. The pistol has some weight to it but feels good in the hand and the extra weight means no recoil at all which helps with young or learning shooters. My experience with Bud's can be summed up with one word, Awesome! They post accurate descriptions of the products along with honest customer reviews and then follow it up with free shipping. Will definitely be shopping with Bud's in the future.

This is a great little gun for the money. It has gotten some questionable reviews, but I think that due to over expectation. People realize this is a $120 dollar gun, $170 if you buy the range kit. That being said, it is AMERICAN made, and has a lifetime warranty. You can't say that about your $600+ XDM! It shoots great, and spot on target out of the box. I got the Nickel finish and love it. Fit and finish is pretty great, I am impressed with the attention to detail. It is a little heavier than I expected, but I'm ok with that. Safeties, yeah it has a few. If you don't like safeties there are plenty of how-to's on fixing that, not that I condone those actions. Those that challenge a 22LR for self defense, well they need to go back and learn how to shoot. It's not the size of the horse in the race, yet the size of the race in the horse. Buy this gun, you will not be disappointed.

Pretty good target and critter pistol. Great price and quick shipping from Bud%u2019s. I would have rated this pistol higher if not for 2 problems. #1 The slide will not operate unless there is a magazine in place and the safety is off. So I you have a round in the chamber, with a full mag - in order to clear the chamber you have to drop the mag, completely unload it, pop it back in, move the safety off and hope you don%u2019t accidentally hit the trigger while pulling the slide back to eject the round. #2. I found it difficult to disassemble and change barrels. First the break down lever is cheap and difficult to slide, secondly the slide spring pops out easily during reassembly and difficult to keep in place. My first one %u201Claunched%u201D itself a few times and got lost, so I had to order new springs to reassemble the pistol after changing barrels.

Fabulous gun for the money. Probably fabulous at any price. Fires flawlessly, comfortable to hold and aim and simple to clean and switch barrels. A good gun at double the price.
