Very happy with this little pistol mine was very accurate right out of the box ...read some reviews and watched some youtube vids some ppl complain about safetys hasnt been a issue for me just dont move the top hammer safety at all...magazine was very tight at first and didnt fall free so i took off grip and fixed easily ...i recommend as with any new firearm to field strip and clean and oil well...bought this as a training gun for my girlfriend but i like it so much i think ill be shooting it more then her...shot 3 types of ammo so far gun functioned flawless for 130$ i feel this gun is well worth it alot of parts and grips on ebay also...

Im very surprised at this 22 lr pistol! It looks and feels like luxury with a price that is reasonable for everyone! Fit and finish was 100% on point and the gun has a really good feel in the hand. You don't really think of a 22 pistol as a CCW but the Hp22a is an exception due to its accuracy and very low recoil and amazing feel in the hand. Would recommend this pistol to anyone!

Really fun little gun. I bought this with the 3in barrel and got the 5in one off of Phoenix Arms website. The recoil with the 3in is a bit worse as is the accuracy. I have really enjoyed the 5in barrel and only shoot it with this barrel. My biggest issue is after running about 250 rounds through it the magazine button came off. I got in touch with phoenix and they sent me all the replacement parts for free. I repaired according to their instructions and took it back out after 100 round again it came off. Once i got it back home i repaired it again this time without hammering the button flush. Took it out again and ran about 2-300 more rounds through it and no problems at all shooting great!! As other ppl have said as well the thing can be a pain to field strip but once you do it a few times it goes fast. The slide spring can be a bit of a pain but if you write to phoenix they will send out replacements for free... I would recommend doing this before you need a replacement that way if you need to field strip at the range and you lose it or it bends you can pop in a new one a keep shooting.

Buds good like always. Just dont expect a call back if you leave a voice mail around the holidays. As for the Hp22A is a nice little piece. You already know it has a lot of safetys, but for the price is a nice little plinker. Holds 10 rd and the finish is not bad for the price. Is a handsom little gun. I ordered the nickel finish and its nice. I will be ordering the black finish range kit for my father soon. Shoots good, just use standard velocity ammo. Dont use the cci and all that specialty ammo and you will be fine. I recommend you use remington thunderbolts

Nice little gun. There is some weight to it, so its not cheap plastic thing. Seems well made. I just got it so time will tell when considering the longevity of the gun.

Cheap and fun little gun. It's a bit of a pain to field strip and clean. There's way too many rules and safety mechanisms on this gun. Theres a magazine lock, a slide lock a manual safety. Also you're not supposed to store it with a round in and there's a risk of the gun going off if it's dropped (according to the literature). For $130 it's a great deal and a lot of fun.
