When I was looking for a quality 1911 I was directed to the Girsan by a good friend who is well versed in quality firearms--especially handguns. I have owned my Girsan 1911 for a bit over a year and it has performed superbly each time I've gone to the range, I cannot say enough about the weapon, it compares very impressively to the 1911's I used in the military Several friends & relatives have handled my Girsan and are amazed at it's quality of manufacture and accuracy and have now ordered their own Girsan 1911. What most impressed my circle of friends was when an ex Marine & close friend who had served 3 tours in Afghanistan was looking for a 1911, and made the decision to purchase a Girsan 1911 after tearing my example down and giving it a critical inspection. The ex Marine exclaimed the Girsan was as good or better than the Colts he had the privilege to carry into battle and promptly ordered an example for himself...For a battle hardened ex military man to put his stamp of approval on the Girsan says a lot in my books...

this 1911 is very well built with everything tight and nicely balanced. the trigger could use some work but with time or even a trigger upgrade, this gun will be great for a long time. fairly accurate out of the box.

Have a railed version which is very good after polishing the feed ramp. Wanted a non-railed, so I bought this. Polished the feed ramp before taking it to the range. Performed flawlessly. Added Hi Viz front sight, commander hammer, beaver tail grip safety and SS guide rod this week. Will take to the range again this weekend. For any price, these are damn good 1911s. Less work to make these A than my Remington R1, which in it's current state is superb.

I bought this Girsan MC1911-G2 and love it. It is well made and feels great in my hand. If you have always wanted a 1911 45 ACP, as I did, but didn't want to pay $600 or more, This is the hand gun for you.

Great for the price. Solid, no FTFs or FTEs. I have had many 1911s and this is as good as any I have had. Colt included.

This is the first 1911 I have ever owned.....I know weapons fairly well overall and I find this one to be well built, fit and finish. Now for a different story.....my FFL (Master Gunsmith) buddy knows them very well, and the 1911 happens to be his favorite handgun. His opinion I feel is of the upmost importance (to me). All I can say is the first thing he did was open the package, grabbed the barrel slide for wobble and said, "this is nice, REAL nice". Then he did a mag eject, checked the barrel nut and said fantastic, asked me if it was OK to do a tear down, of course...even took one grip off......folks. The end result straight from the Masters mouth was....This is really a fine weapon, NOT, this is a fine weapon for the price, but......This Is A Fine Weapon. I was all smiles because I value his opinion on weapons period. I have not fired yet, but I expect it will be the same results.....A Fine Weapon! I love it does not have large lettering on the barrel, nothing at all but MC 1911, serial # and Country made...nice finish and stampings are crisp and precise, all in small lettering. Nice hard case, cleaning kit, spent shell dead center fired and manual......can go on and on, but I don't think I need to say more. Buds came through like they always have in the past, lightning fast shipping..... I will be buying a Hard Chrome one with my tax return!!!!
