WELL WORTH THE PRICE I PAID. NOT A EXACT CLONE. MY COLT AND POWER MAGS DID NOT FIT IN THIS 1911. MY SHOOTING STARS FIT FINE,THE GRIP SCREWS ARE NOT TO SPEC. I RAN 120 ROUNDS THROUGH IT WITH 1 FTF. NOT BAD FOR A BREAK IN. FIT AND FINISH ARE VERY GOOD. THE SIGHTS ARE OK NOT GREAT. A SOLID 4 STARS. THIS MAKES A FUN RANGE GUN OR FIRST 1911.

I purchased this last weekend received Thursday today great shopping by buds as always. The pistol looks nice but I ran into a few problems I don't know if the average person could have dealt with. First the plunger tube was loose in the rear causing safety jamming I fixed this and restaked it. Second the trigger bars were pushed in making the mag fail to drop free I stripped it and bent them out that is fixed. In the range I had premature slide stop activation filed down the slide stop because the rounds were striking it as they loaded. Last it was shooting way low filed down the front sight now she is on and is a beautiful gun. All these fixes were free but like I said if you didn't have 1911 knowledge you would have bought a complexity non functional firearm. But everything else is nice.

Sweet. Took right out of the box, no prep, mixed rounds. All rounds dead center at 15 yards free standing. No miss fires, no failure to eject. I would put this gun up against any other and the price can't be beat.

Picked up my Girsan from my dealer the first week in april.Fit and finish was very surprising so was the accuracy. After pickup, feild stripped, oiled, then shot 30 rounds 230gr fmj and 8 rounds Hornady 185gr XTP through it.All went flawless untill I re-feild stripped, cleaned and reassembled.During safety check, all safety functions failed.I immediately contacted Buds and they setup pickup from UPS for warranty from their gunsmith. This was a friday.Monday am spoke to their gunsmith who assured me that my problem is an on going thing with even the higher 1911s due to factories using cheaper made parts. My sear had broken damaging the hammer and thumbsafety wich he replaced all parts with better quality. He also said that my gun was already repaired and would be shipped to me the next day.Wednsday evening it arrived compleatly repaired and with no charges to me.Since then I have fired 500 rounds of federal and winchester 230gr fmj and 30 rounds of Speer 230gr+P GDHP through it using both the ACT mag and my Kimber mags with out so much as a hiccup.Due to the professionalism of both Buds and their warranty station and the way this gun shoots now,I give 5 stars to all including the gun. I did do some research and it is true that higher end makers are experiencing the same type failures so I don't believe mine was typical,I just got the fluke.I have added some Hogue wraparound rubber finger grips to it and this is now my daily carry gun.Thats how much I trust in this fine gun.

Received the pistol about 3 days after finishing payment plan. build quality is very good. sights are exact same profile as my glock heines, so the point of impact is good at 7 yards. initial groups were 2 1/2 inches roughly and one smaller group around 1 1/4. i used the supplied oil only on the slide rails, no disassembly. everything is pretty smooth. decent trigger. act-mag supplied ran 100%. my chip mccomicks were mostly ok, they are brand new and need breaking in, just had two ftf, not the pistols fault. two remington mags also brand new would not lock in. so i'll be filing the mag catch holes. grips are a little thick but fine. may upgrade later. in a nutshell, good pistol. i think with some trigger time my groups offhand should tighten to around 1 1/4 inch consistent which is about the same as what i get with my friends $700 springfields and remingtons. it weighs about the same as a springfield, just slightly nose heavy in comparison due to heavier barrel, thats nice too. generally good internal machining (not that i've broken down, but what i can see from locking the slide open).

Awesome looking gun. Had a few FTF in first couple of shots. Improved with each magazine. Overall look and feel are great. Shot approx 100 rds. Besides the few FTF....overall opinion is great. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
