This is a very good 1911 for the price!!! I was in the market for a basic "GI" model 1911...something that resembles the first 1911 when issued to the military back in the days. Once I received it from my local FFL, I took it home and gave it a quick field disassemble and gave it a quick cleaning. I then took it to the range with 100 rounds of the cheaper "Federal Aluminum" cased 230 grain ball ammo that I picked up at my local Walmart. I fired all 100 rounds using the one stock "Mec-gar" magazine that came with the gun, along with "Chip McCormick" mags, an "Armscor" mag (that came with a RIA 1911 I also bought from Buds), and an "Act-Mag" (from my Girsan 1911, also purchased from Buds), and from all those varieties of magazines and the 100 rounds of ammo, ALL 100 ROUNDS SHOT FLAWLESSLY through this Tisas A1 1911. I highly recommend this 1911 for those who are on a budget and is looking for a 1911. Again, I know that a basic "GI" model doesn't come with all the fancy features, like Novak style sights or skeletonized trigger and hammer, but the only thing I would change would be the sights. It's pretty hard to pick out the front sight in between the notch of the rear sights (black on black sights). So I just used bright nail polish and dabbed a little on the front sight. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TISAS A1 1911 !!!

Picked up my zig 1911 at my FFL . based on reviews I was expecting a well made inexpensive entry level 1911 , what I got was much more the Tisas was every bit as well made as the colts , springfields , and rugers I compared it to at my dealer . Fit and finish is perfect , and for less than half the price . I wanted a GI model of the 1911 and this one is it . If you want a GI 1911 and don't want to spend $2000 you wont go wrong with the ZIG 1911 -A1 .

Ordered on the 2nd (paid by echeck), received on the 13th. Schedule was pretty much as promised, communication from Buds was excellent. Will probably do business again. Now, as for the Tisas 1911A1...I'm literally blown away. The gun you get for the money is just amazing. If you're expecting a Kimber or a Les Bauer, you'll be disappointed. But, if you've ever actually shot a US Government issued M1911 pistol, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Fit and finish are superb, grips are a very nicely finished walnut. Gun is extremely tight, no wiggle or play anywhere. Those complaining about the trigger, there's nothing wrong with it. If you're used to or expecting a custom trigger job for this price you're just not being realistic. It's crisp and very manageable, and does wear in over the break in period a little bit. It is in most every way an exact copy of the stock government model. Broke it in with about 100rnds of Atlanta Arms ball ammo, not a single malfunction. Fired about 24 rounds of Speer Gold Dot HP without a malfunction. Gun shoots point of aim and is as accurate as I can shoot it. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far and would recommend this pistol to anyone looking for a stock 1911 handgun.

Thus was my first Buds purchase, and they were great and very fast. As far as this pistol goes, I wish I could give it ten stars. Tight, slick, pretty in it's plain, ugly way...it's my new favorite. If you're on the fence 'cause it's a cheap copy, do yourself a HUGE favor and order. You will not regret it. Even the 'fancy 1911' guys grudgingly admit its a strait shooter and and a well made sidearm. Stop reading and GET IT.

Needed to have a gunsmith modify the ejector port as I was getting a lot of jams initially. Since modification the weapon has fired flawlessly great pistol for the price. Just placed my second order with buds, fast shipping and perfect quality. modification cost me $25, however it was well worth it to have a 45ACP 1911 for $350!
