I was prepared for the worse considering the price, but was very pleasantly surprised. This gun has had the #$%^ shot out of it with every conceivable brand and style of ammo, and has NEVER in over 1000 rounds had a malfunction. Sadly this is more than I can say for my Kimber. Rest assured this is no Kimber but is surprisingly well made, and though no beauty it shoots fairly accurately, and never fails to fire. Would be an ideal first 1911 for someone on a budget.

Got my Tisas 3 days after ordering it.Beautiful gun with the Black Hawk Serpa Sportster holster and the wide brown leather belt. That lets it set high and locked in to show off it's gleaming Turkish walnut stocks. And the gleaming stainless steel cold rolled barrel against the GI black spotless smooth slide.Lets everyone know that this gun means bussiness if need be.Have not shot it yet.Hell!Don't need to to know what it is.Took long time researching it and it passed with flying colors.Actually guns to nice to shoot.I like to take it out and admire it.And I watched a video where a well known 1911 was taken apart as was the Tisas. That cost over twice the $349 Tisas cost. And they were identical.Never did see any weight for the gun.But I can tell you it feels well balanced and light. But not so where the recoil is bad.Saw one old man like me shooting it with one hand that hardly moved. Also my Tisa arrived as if it were just cleaned.Barrel spotless and could not find anything that needed cleaning anywhere.I know that if I need this gun it is there ready for the need!

Came fast and with a pretty decent case and cover cloth. The pistol is very tight and needs some work such as a trigger job, but is serviceable. This pistol seems to be compatible with normal 1911 parts and Mags. Can't wait to shoot it.

This gun is a great 1911. I was hesitant at first due to the brand. However I've found the machining is up to par with many of the Springfield 1911s. I changed the grips to Pachmyr grips and they helped reduce the recoil and look/feel great. I recommend anyone buying a first time 1911 try putting a few different brands of 45ACP rounds through their 1911 before making any judgements. I found that PMC 45ACP 230gr FMJ works best with this gun. It's accurate up to 30 yards and in my opinion feels/shoots better than many of the Polymer framed pistols.

For $349.00 you can't go wrong. I know that there are better 1911s, but for just a "Plain Jane" model, and that is what I wanted, its fit and finish is right on. Very tight and handles well. I'm glad I bought this gun and would highly recommend to any one on a budget or just wanting a std. GI version. Thanks Bud's for offering up this gun at a ridiculously low price. Check 'em out.

This gun is a STEAL at $349. Mine was beautiful right out of the box, but I removed the walnut grips and replaced them with a set of Pachmayr half-checkered rosewood grips ($34 Amazon) and I was astounded at the appearance of this 1911. Based on another purchaser's comment I purchased a Colt 1911 magazine and used it as opposed to the magazine that came with the gun. I took the gun apart, cleaned and lubricated it, and headed for the range. I shot 100 rounds of Federal American Eagle with no failures. The gun was very VERY accurate from 30 feet right out of the box. A veteran from 1967-1970, I purchased this gun to leave for my grandson when my time on earth is done, and I am sure he will be just as happy with it as I am. I only hope I'll be able to take him to the range with it one day! Thanks, Bud's, for a great deal!
