Absolutely my favorite all around hunting rifle. This rifle is accurate, packs a punch, and is fun to shoot. Brings the feeling of the ole west when your firing and racking the lever to rechamber a round! 5 stars!

Great little gun to plink or hunt. i can’t complain

I love my Marlin 30-30. It slides into a backpack nicely, and brings a powerful platform to the field with the ease of being compact and slender. I run it with iron sights, to keep it lighter and easier to wield. Only thing, I wish Marlin (or anyone!) offered tritium iron sights for this lever action, so that I could better use it against hogs at night.

Not sure how to rate this rifle. I owned the same rifle many years ago, but this one doesn't have the same quality look, and finish as my older one had. The furniture doesn't look so great, but its okay (has a prefab look to it) the finish looks okay, but not that great. I haven't fired the rifle yet, but it feels nice. To be honest, I am a bit disappointed in the overall appearance, on the other hand its okay.

This Marlin 336W .30-30 is the bomb. It's perfect, from looks, to shooting. WOW, I am glad I bought this rifle. I know you'll love it to.

Buds' service was great, very fast processing and shipping. They price matched it with another retailer to get the price down a little.
The rifle is alright, I was nervous about ordering a newer Marlin online with their QC issues. The gun itself is good but the rear sight is slightly off-kilter. The sights are still usable and I plan on putting a scope on it anyways but still a little disappointing.

I always wanted one of these and I was happy with the purchase overall. The rifle is fun to shoot and feels real nostalgic. Only complaint was the stock had 1 dent in it. I didn’t bother with sending it back because I’d rather deal with a dent than a headache. Overall though I would recommend this rifle.

I purchased the 336W with the scope and loved the gun right away. After I took the scope off I loved the gun even more. I did have to make some adjustments on the sights to make it accurate as it shot 6-8 inches to the left at 100 yards when using the sights initially. I would recommend buying it without the scope but if you want to use it with a scope buy a 2x7, not the 3x9 it comes with. The Hornady Leverevolution 160gr was the best ammo I tried (for both accuracy and range) but not by much and with the price of the Hornady Leverevolution ammo I don't use it much with this rifle. Remington Core Lokt 170 gr and the Federal Fusion 170gr were a close second and as they are cheaper I prefer to use those rounds with this rifle.

Bud's Gun Shop shipped quickly as usual, the customer service was very good from the experiences that I've had with Bud's Gun Shop. The Marlin 336W I have purchased is a fine little rifle. I enjoy the matte-type black finish, the action is fairly smooth, and the trigger pull is decent with a fairly clean break. Be prepared for a floppy trigger, it will wiggle back and forth freely until you have taken up the slack before firing. The sights were off just a tad, but were easy enough to adjust with a punch and hammer. I have fired twenty rounds through the 336W with no failures of any kind. I will not comment on the accuracy, for that has more to do with the shooter than the firearm. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, and satisfied with the customer service from Bud's Gun Shop. I will be back.

Great rifle!! Good quality and workmanship! Put on a 3x9X40 Bushnell Trophy scope and took to range. Shot 20 rounds of Hornady Lever revolution bullets with no problems!! Really like this little rifle and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 30-30 rifle. Buds was great with lightning fast shipping!

Received my Marlin in a timely manner with no hiccups. Feel Noah was spot on and for between metal And wood very nice. I know Freedom Group or Remington make these now and there was issues with quality control. But not on this gun, it looks good, feels good in the hands and I wil be shooting it this weekend. Love the gun and will Pass this down to my son when he gets older. Thank you buds for making this a great experience.

Well I have to say this was a very good buy...I was a little nervous but after getting it. I couldn't be more happy. The fit and finish on this is better than I could expect...all and all best buy I have done in a long time. .

I do love the gun, but after I installed a Williams 5D peep(I put aperture sights on any gun that doesn't have a scope), but for that I needed a higher front sight post, so I bought one, and as hammered it into the dovetail the whole front sight assy broke off, I tried to drill and tap it with a slightly larger screw, but the hole just had to be too shallow to tap or I'd trill through to the rifling, so I used the hole and barrel curvature to line it up where it was, then clamped it down, sanded the metal bare around the edges of the front sight assy and where it touches the barrel and acid soldered it down with a propane torch. I cleaned up all the excess flux, some of the excess solder with a file. Fortunately I had a cold blue pen(and surprisingly it works on solder too) and touched it up and now it's great. The action cycles great, it's dead accurate, especially with the aperture sights. I love it other than having to fix it the day I bought it because Marlin's warranty is complete garbage.

A good buy for the lower price offered by Buds the Marlin rebate, but Remlin quality still not completely up to par with older model Marlins (though certainly getting better). The bluing is unusual as it has a textured feel to it, almost like a rhino lining but not as course. Upon inspecting I found a dime size area on the barrel where the bluing seems to have either worn away or was not applied properly. The mechanics work well and will smooth out, and the trigger is the heaviest of any of my Marlins but will lighten up with use. I do with I had purchased the 336 with scope as that was selling for less than this model was after I had already purchased it. Note to the reader, check out ALL models before purchase. Still I'm not disappointed with it, just not willing to give it 5 stars.

Excellent rifle, sighted in scope, shot 40 rounds no jams. Smooth lever action, fun to shoot. I highly recommend this Marlin 336w from Buds Gun Shop. My third purchase for Buds, looking forward to my next purchase. Also Buds has excellent customer service. Thank You.

Picked up my Marlin 336w in 30-30 today from my FFL. What a beautiful rifle. Lever cycles well, nice crisp trigger. Going to clean it now before going to the range. (Remember, you should always clean and lubricate before firing any new rifle). Thanks Buds for another great transaction.

After making my final payment on my 336W, it was at my FFL in less than a week. Looked over the gun and it was in great condition. Very well built and works great in chambering and action. FFL was a shooting rang so I was able to shoot right away. Put 40 rounds at 50 yards and it was dead on for iron sights. Again this is a very well built gun and very strong feeling in the hands. scope rings came in yesterday and am grabbing a scope for it tomorrow. No issues yet and I haft to say great job to buds and great firearm. I have already put my Bushmaster on layaway and these will not be the last items I buy from here. I give this gun the highest rating and if you are questioning yourself about this purchase don't you will not regret it.

Great 30-30. I've used it for hunting white tail and never had a miss fire or jam. awesome gun

Bud's description of this rifle states that is has a Laminate Stock, Marlin's website too. The rifle I received has a Birchwood Stock. The Barrel is stamped 336W. A real Plain Jane rifle. Wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. I should have ordered the one with the Scope on it. The description states that it has a Birchwood Stock and it was only a few dollars more.

Just got my Marlin 336w 30-30 today so far so good. I have not shot it yet. It looks like its been used but giving that the manufacture test fires them before they ship them to the dealers im leaving at that for the reason it looks used. I've never had any problems with marlin rifles. Buds was fast with shipping and answering my questions. I would recommend this rifle to anyone that's wanting one. Thank You Buds
