A beast. Use on remote property where bears are many. A cannon!

This is the rifle I use to hunt wild pigs with. I have bagged 10 with it and with the right load and scope it is easy to use in the brush where the pigs hang out. I have had no problems with it and I find that it moves quickly and is accurate. We all know how dangerous pig hunting can be and I feel very comfortable with my Marlin 45-70 Scout in the brush. Highly recommend this rifle with the 300 grain hollow point ammo.

the Marlin 45-70 is a very powerful round and in carbine form it is very accurate.

Retiring soon from Law Enforcement, I wanted a guide gun for when I begin my Alaska bucket list of fly fishing and hunting, this Marlin 1865 fits the bill, and once again buds allow you to make payments until you're ready to pay in full bests any other dealer that I can thank of!!

I've had this gun for almost 3 years and I love it, I reload my own ammo and this thing eats it up accurately.

After receiving this rifle, I am initially well pleased with it. The fit and finish are very nice. I haven't had an opportunity to shoot it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. From what I can tell so far, I would recommend this product.

Great Rifle. It is manageable with 405 grain flat tops. I put 20 through it with no problems. Got some bulk 300 grain for my range day and im going to break her in. Nice power for such a small looking rifle. Absolutely love it.

Bought this back in Nov 2018 and still have not shot it!! One of these days I hope to get out there. The rifle came in wonderful shape, looks beautiful! I added a leather sling, and a leather round holder. Makes the rifle look old school. Once I fire it I will give a better review.

Fit and finish on this 45-70 guild gun Marlin is meeting all my expectations, this is the 4th lever action Marlin rifle and the 2nd 45-70. All have been beautiful rifles, yet to be fired, but I expect no problems. My only complaint to marlin is they didn't have a suitable 22 caliber lever action available so I purchased a Henry. All business with Buds has been smooth and easy with quick delivery to my FFL dealer. I think these last rifles are totally out about to a clear dozen of purchases from BudsGuns and all have been good deals. Thanks

The gun shot well, fairly easy to sight in although the manual’s instructions were poorly written regarding sight adjustments. I found better information on YouTube on how adjust the sights that’s why I didn’t give a better rating.

This gun looks amazing. My particular rifle had repetitive failure to feeds. I sent it back with no problems and it came back fixed and ready to go. Just know you better be ready to receive some kick this thing is a cannon!! It's very accurate but the round drops dramatically after 100 yards or so just so you know.

Love this firearm!! My stay in truck never have to worry if I have a gun to hunt or if I have enough gun. Out of the box accurate at 50 yards, I've never touch the sights. Great for hog hunting

I recently recieved the marlin 1895g and am very pleased with the product I received. The fit and finish are very good, the sights are right on, and the rifle functions and cycles without any issues. The wood on my particular rifle has very nice wood grain and the blueing on the rifle is spot on. No complaints whatsoever with this rifle and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about getting a 45-70 lever action thats not going to break the bank.
