This rifle is a lot of fun to shoot. I was kinda worried to get a 770 instead of the 700 but i really couldnt afford the 700 and i wanted a 308 now. I wasnt disapointed, this rifle and scope right out of the box was dead on at 75 yards. my son and i took it out with a few pumpkins and did the whole bullet carving and no joke i put eyes nose and a half smile on one and im not that great of a shot. This was worth the money

Once again Bud's was great. But don't waste your money on this rifle. I really didn't expect much for the low price. But didn't expect the rifle to be junk. The bolt is sloppy and sticks quite often. Saying the scope is junk is an understatement. I wasted money on bipods before selling it to a buddy for a $100 loss. I then turned around and bought a Remington 700 tatical in a .308. It was only a couple of hundred more. But well worth it.

I'm in love. I've been away from shooting for (20+)years. I wanted a .308 But couldn't afford much. Other than the ready to hunt out of the box claim. I am thoroughly impressed. I have never used a scope. And, have not fired a rifle since the late 80's (m16 in Marines). I rolled up a sweatshirt, and set it on top of my ammo box, for a rest. First shots were over a foot low. Half way through a box of the cheapest ammo I could get. I measured 1.4, and 1.5 inch groups. I can see this gun shooting MOA with practice, and better ammo. And Sub MOA with a bipod, bedding, and free floating the barrel. Doing the work myself... with Bud's awesome price... I will have one bad ass sub MOA rifle for under $400. Saving me enough to....buy more from Bud's!!!!

After initial inspection I was impressed with this economy rifle. The action did seem a little sticky, but with minimal effort I rectified that issue. Thank you Bud's. Delivery was fast and exactly what I expected. Never buying from anywhere else.

The Remington 700 Series of Rifle are Fantastic and the 770 model in the .308 caliber WILL get the Job DONE! What's good is you could also shoot the 7.62 x 39mm or the 7.62 x 51mm Nato round, in a worst case scenrio. In owning a 770 Rifle, you know that you are getting one of the best Rifles in the World and with the .308 round you know that when you hit something that it is going to go down and not Run...
