This rifle is a great place to start a target or tactical rifle build if you are on a budget. The Remington 700 action has a great reputation, and this incarnation was no different. The action is smooth, and the bolt is easy to manipulate. The x-mark pro trigger is alright, but I plan to replace it with an offering from Timney. The barrel has a really nice heavy contour, and the accuracy so far has been superb. After initially sighting the rifle in, I am easily shooting sub MOA groups (when I do my part) at 100 meters, including a personal best 5 shot group measuring .26 MOA. The achilles heel of this rifle is the stock. The stock is just a really cheap piece of junk. When using a front rest or a bi-pod, the stock will make contact with the barrel. The stock lacks rigidity. Thankfully there are plenty of options out there for the Remington 700 (HS Precision, McMillan, Bell and Carlson, Accuracy International, etc...). All in all I am very happy with this rifle.

This was my first purchase from buds and I couldn't be happier. The shipping was quick, the ffl transfer was quick and painless, and the gun is amazing. The gun itself shoots extremely accurate, however it's a little on the heavy side, and a free floating barrel would make it that much better. Those are easy upgrades though especially when considering buds is selling this gun for almost 200 bucks cheaper than most other dealers!!

bought this rifle on Friday and received in 6 days later. Buds was awesome and offered the lowest price I could find. The rifle its self is amazing. Its only my second rifle, but after 4 times to the range I am putting most rounds through the same hole at 50 yards. Now its time to move it back to 100. The rifle performs excellently and I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

I bought this rifle in hopes of building a long range target rifle. I was amazed at the accuracy right out of the box. I ran the Tubb Final Finish system through the barrel and it got even better. The stock is a little flimsy, so make sure it doesn't touch the barrel when useing a forend rest. I was so happy I kept the original barrel and added a new stock, bi-pod and monopod alond with a Vortex scope mounted on a picatinny rail. Even though I shoot single shot, I have tried the magazine and have not had any feeding problems. The rifle has fire a 3 shot group of .38 inch at 225 yards which equates to 0.17 MOA with 168gr BTHP over 44.0gr of Varget. Besides the Tubb Final Finish, the only other thing I did to the rifle was to lap the locking lugs on the bolt and replaced the firing pin with a speed lock firing pin. It's excellent out of the box and has even the potential if you want something more.
