A great pistol for cheap. The price on the Zastavas like this hasn't gone crazy. All steel too. Shoots well. I got an inexpensive nylon adjustable holster that works well with it but it's still not a daily carry for me. There are some hard, locking holsters that will take it too. I like that it looks like a gun from an old gangster movie. Mine came with a nice hard plastic case, 2 mags & cleaning brush. For this price you can't go wrong.

The M70A (Serbian manufactured) pistol should meet your expectations (i. e. if you purchase a mid- to low-quality, inexpensive pistol, that was intended solely as somewhat of a novelty weapon's purchase to shoot infrequently). It is crudely manufactured, but functions well -- surprisingly. The machining could have been accomplished by a small group of primates in a metal shop; however, it does fire every time. The magazine doesn't fit firmly in the well and requires some manipulation to remove. The sights are rudimentary but are accurate once you've shot the weapon a few times - not much different than a Colt Model 1873 SAA. I have access to a group of firearms techs who tuned the action slightly and removed some of the burrs (which are numerous), which rendered the pistol more functional. I am not criticizing this weapon for my own entertainment - I purchased it for slightly over $200.00, knowing (presuming) the level of quality/function. I wasn't disappointed. I would not carry this weapon to protect myself while trekking in the wild or rely on it for any other form of self-preservation....but I'd recommended buying one if you can accept the above review.

Nice gun. Shoots well, good grouping on 50 ft. even with the basic original sites. Also nostalgic...

A friend bought one of these and showed me, so I bought one too. The price was very good. They look cool, they work fine, sights are decent and the trigger pull is stout, but manageable. They are fairly accurate out to 25 yards, but better suited for close combat. It was so nice to find these chambered for "our" American 9mm, keeping the cost way down, when feeding them.

Just purchased my second M70A. I love it! prepare to spend 2-3 hours with fine sand paper, do a good cleaning and you will be good to go. Excellent product.

Very nice hand gun! Shoots well! requires some work - i.e. polishing rails, magazines, etc. Overall I like it a lot. Thank you, Buds!

Right out of the box. POS ! After ten or so rounds the rear sight fell off. Try looking for that in the grass. Sold that sucker to a locale gunsmith . This gun was manufactured by the people that made the Yugo. Yep Serbia. If you feel you must buy a gun from the former Yugoslavia , get a Springfield made in Croatia.

The gun is good I enjoy shooting it. But it does have a few issues. Slide needs to stay well lubes. Magazine do not slide in or out as smooth as I would like.

I purchased both this pistol the M70A and its little brother the M88A about 2 years ago and really enjoy both of them. I've probably shot around 1000 rounds between the two of them and they both run great. The M70A chambered in 9mm is a great choice for anyone who want's the look and feel of a Tokarev without the hassle of finding 7.62x25 ammo. The gun does however have its hang-ups, which is present in both the M70A and M88A. The sights are fairly basic making them a bit difficult to use, the trigger pull is a bit stiff and the grips aren't very comfortable in large hands, but for $240 (the price I payed) I think it was a great deal.

Purchased Spring of 2015 on sale for $200. Great pistol for the money. Out of the box after cleaning had 6 malfunctions of various types in 50 rounds. Sanded and polished the feed ramp and rails, pistol runs 100% now. Needs a break in. Rough machining on the internals, exterior is beautiful. Interesting design. Extra mags are almost nonexistent. Good project pistol for amateur gun smithing. Has a feel and point ability that is very 1911ish. This is no HK or Sig but in its price range a ton of fun. Thanks Buds.

Solid pistol, new production and priced well. Cannot beat an all steel 9mm for less than $250. Only comes with one mag and no holster like you might see with the surplus versions. One bit of detail I think is rather tacky is the "Made In Serbia" stamp on the extractor side of the pistol and painted white. Not necessary, will look to ride this pistol of at least the white paint. For that I only can give the pistol 4 stars.

Got the gun this morning. Hadn't handled one before ordering, just relied on online reviews as I was looking for an inexpensive 9mm, and I liked the look of the gun. The finish on it looks great, much better in person than pics and videos online. Was much thinner and lighter than I expected, which was still a plus. Haven't stripped it yet as I'm still at work. The action is still tight being a brand new gun. Came in a plastic case with a brush and one magazine. Also has a users manual which is well written and illustrated. There are a bunch of written and video reviews online regarding shooting, I'm just really happy with the look and the feel of the gun especially for the price. I recommend it to anyone who wants a cheap good looking gun.

I bought this several months ago for about $270. At that price point, you will not find a more reliable handgun! The mags were sticky and the slide was gritty, but sanding fixed these issues. ONE IMPORTANT ISSUE: THIS GUN SHOOTS 4 INCHES LOW FROM POINT OF AIM, AND REPLACEMENT SIGHTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. Trigger pull was initially nearly 9 lbs, but after 1,000 rounds it has smoothed considerably, breaking now around 7.5 lbs. I purchased hardwood grips from www.marschalgrips.com, but I did have to fit the grips as they were not drop-in compatible. This gun is compatible with just about any Browning Hi-Power holster, so holster selection is fairly easy. I have fed Remington, Winchester, CCI Blaser, Federal, and Hornady ammunition through this gun, in standard and P loadings: HP, FMJ, and XTP, with bullet weights from 115 gr. to 147 gr. NO FAILURES TO FEED, NO FAILURES TO FIRE, NO FAILURES TO EJECT!!! However, the tightest group that I have gotten out of it has been just under 4" at 15 feet. My 2" snubnose .38 can do better than that. Recoil was very light for 9mm, and double taps can be done due to the single action fire control. The safety lever is backwards compared to the 1911, and does not move smoothly, so Condition 1 may not be your best choice. Also, the grip angle is somewhat more acute than the 1911, so you will need to keep your wrists unlocked when shooting. I would have given it 5 stars if it were more accurate, but otherwise it is pretty decent for under $300.

Someone told me that these were really great guns for the buck. Well they were wrong. I got two of these, the first one would the mag would not release and I had so many FTFs and stove pipes. As for the second one the mag would release but was so inaccurate, you couldn't hit a target at 10yds. I would not recommend these guns to anyone. Save your money and get a Glock, Springfield, or a Kimber. Buds was awesome as usual.

I bought 2 of these back in march 2015 when they were $206.00 each. the guns alone are a 4STAR at what i paid id say a 3 star at the $270 mark and a 2star if you take into account CIA' policies. before i bought them i of course went thru the comments and googled them to see if any issues repeated themselves. as with anything mass produced flaws happen and people can miss them of reading them 2 things stuck out to me. shooting low and sticky mags these didn't have me concerned much for 206 bucks. i only planed these to be range guns for friends and family so after my FFL got them i of course inspected them. the first one i opened was just about flawless for a 206 dollar gun. mags dropped free finish was solid nothing bound up cycling it was very impressed at this point. then came the second one it to looked well cycled good mag didn't drop free but nothing some light sanding cant fix. but in my new gun excitement fog i missed a major flaw in the barrel and that led me to CIA's absurd policies and they themselves agreed on that. the flaw was in the seam of the barrel where they attract the camber to the rifled barrel. there was about a 5/8th inch long and .3mm deep chip in that seam of course this to me is clearly unsafe. so the next day after picking them up from my FFL i contacted CIA told them of the issue sent pictures. of course it was a friday so i had the weekend to wait till i got word from them on what needed to happen. i assumed they would just send out a replacement barrel and id send the bad one in. BOY was i wrong on Monday i got a email saying it was indeed a problem duh and needed to be sent in. well i called them at this point requesting just a replacement barrel well they don't stock replacement barrels. even if they did there policies would still require it being sent in as because now SIT down for this one. REMOVING the barrel was deemed above the stranded disassembly and would VOID my warranty......................... needless to say i argued with them on this on how absurd it was and they said we know but its how there policies are. at this point the word policies had been said to me 1 to many times but there was still a flood of it to come. now as i have lost all hope of reasoning with them i say ok lets just send it in so now i have 3 options to choose from REPAIR/REPLACE/ OR REFEUND well at this point i was already told they dont stock barrels and they had NO replacement guns on hand so if it was deemed a major flaw i was left with only 1 option REFUND...... now on how there refund policies work they DONT refund you they refund who ever bought the gun from them. so in this case its buds but if your unlucky you could be buying it after its moved to 3 or 4 dealers before purchase. now fast forward 6 weeks later FINALLY heard from them and it was deemed a cosmetic flaw and sent back to me. but the last kicker is the paper work i got back with it now i had never fired the gun. buds bought it sold it to me sent it to my FFL i sighed for it got home had it for four days and mail it off to CIA. what i got back was a USED from there 7 shot test firing firearm per there paper work and said should be inspected by a gunsmith..... rofl. if i hadn't seen that paper work with my own eyes id say i was crazy. like isaid at the start of this crazy long rant the guns stand alone are ok but CIA id never buy another one just because of THERE policies

Simply one of the grooviest firearms in my collection. Zastava has always spoken reliability to me, as has Bud's. I love the Tok platform, and the ease of the ubiquitous 9mm cart teamed with the slender 1911-ish profile translated to as much fun as I could ask for. Cap all of this off with a machined sheen that garners more value than asking price. The range experience did not leave me unhappy. My new Tok devoured every Winchester White Box, TulAmmo Steel Case and Hornady Critical Defense. Sights needed zero coaxing and 25 yards gave me fist-sized groups in outdoor range winds. Bud's delivered to my preferred FFL in four days, and the value overall is unparalleled.

Purchased the M70a in 9mm inly 4 days ago. Issues:
1. The front bushing can NOT be removed which means the barrel can not be taken out ( stuck in position - designed to move around 180 degrees) 2. There is 1-2mm space/gap between the slide and the pistol frame ( the guide rod /spring can be seen when assembled / ONE side only)which means debris can go inside and interfere with operation - semi-automatic pistol ( improrer fit slide to frame) 3. Magazine grinding - very hard going in and out. Contacted Budguns customer service and they stated can not be taken back because the transfer happened 4 days ago. Shipped to Century Arms Int. for warranty service or replacement and I will update with the outcome. I think sometimes defective products can be produced but most important lets see the reliability of CAI - how they stand up behind their products ! I think it is defective handgun with serious structural manufacturer defect and has to be replaced - sold as "new" handgun ... I did ask for replacement ... Will update once CIA offers solution UPDATE ( 35 days after receiving the handgun) : Century Arms stated " CAN NOT " be repaired. Budgunshop.com went out of their way to assist me in regards getting a replacement. I received the new handgun replacement very fast via FREE next day shipment ( Budgunshop. Com did take care of it). The new one came in - perfect condition. Quality handgun at low price ! Thank you David at Budgunshop.com for all of your help in regards this replacement ! Highly recommending Budgunshop.com as a dealer - very efficient and professional !

I have two of these guns now due to how much I liked the first one. I picked the second one up while the price was still in the $200 range. (I mean $200 for a all-metal pistol!!). Anyway, the second one was just a reliable as the first one, but a little less accurate. Maybe that was due to me being a little tired from a long session of shooting, but I feel like it was a little off from my first one. Don't get me wrong, for this price point and my intended use for this pistol, I am still very happy with this purchase. Again, I got it for a mere $200. Can't go wrong even if it gets the snot beat out of it. Go get one now before the price goes up even more. Get it for a stash/bury vault gun. Get it for a torture test. Just get it because it's a fun gun to have in your collection. Enjoy.

Hi, When I took gun out from box was covered with grease, oil. I clean the gun from heavy machine oil and apply light oil. I fired about 50 rounds without any problems. Gun is fairly precise. Was easy to assemble gun after cleaning. I am happy with gun it was good buy for me. Thank you, BB

I've read some bad reviews but I do not pay much attention to them , I should have this time. I seem to have gotten a bad one. Firing at 25 feet from a rest at a 24 inch gong you have to hold six inches high just to start hitting the bottom of it. I do not know how to deal with this, the windage problem can be fixed but the elevation issue cannot. It is not like the rear sight could be any taller than it is already if even one was available. I suspect it has to do with the slide and barrel lug mesh in this particular pistol. Placing a wooden dowel into the barrel, you can really see it.It is a shame, I really do like this gun but it is useless to me in this state.
