I received my 809 today, did an inspection & as usual,it was covered in the cosmoline shipping grease just like most Taurus firearms but that was no big deal,a good deep cleaning got it ready to fire.At 1st look,I thought the rear sight was crooked but it must had been me because it was dead on accurate. The grip felt great, hardly no recoil with 115 grain fmj ammo.No malfunctions in 100 rounds. Then I fired 50 rounds of 147 grain hollow points with no malfunctions.Naturally these had a little more noticable recoil but with this PT809,,not near as much as you would think.I'm looking forward to giving the PT845 a try next.Bud's price for the PT809 was only $288,whereas my local dealers were wanting at least $365. This was my 1st time buying a firearm online.I chose Bud's not only because of the price, but because of their postal money order payment option.I'm one of those who don't like putting personal financial information online.

I have several taurus firearms and this is probably one of the most underestimated 9mm out ther in my opinion. Feels great, zero malfunctions, a decent accuracy with great capacity. This is my second 809. My vehicle carry with a few extra mags, you have a full box of ammo at your ready. I will say that my first 809 is a bit long on the pull as if it is almost "stretched out" if that makes any sense. Relying on a double pull sometimes to fire, which is a bit scary, but I will be sending it off to repair soon, and it has has had several thousand rounds shot through it. All and all I would recommend this firearm for Ho,e or vehicle use but a bit big fo carry.

I read some online reviews of this model and decided to go for it. I am glad I did. The pistol comes in a nice big plastic case with the accessories in there. I did a routine dis-assembly and cleaning prior to taking it to the range. This was an easy process. At the range I shot Winchester white box, some Sellier and Bellot, and Russian made Silver Bear. Shooting slowly, free-hand I was able to keep everything in a 2" circle at 20yds. I had NO failures to feed or eject, and only 1 failure to fire with Silver Bear, but thanks to this pistols second strike capabilities. I just pulled the trigger again and it fired that round. It seems well made, fits my hand perfectly, thanks to interchangable backstraps, and is accurate. I would buy the Taurus 809 again in a heartbeat.

Just picked up my Taurus PT809 and from first look it seems like a very nice firearm. I have not shot it yet but looking forward to get out and shot it. Buds did a great job getting my gun out to me in 3 days for the best price. So I think if your on a budget and even if your not Taurus is a great gun to get and buds is a great place to get it from.

First time ordering from Buds. This is an excellent shooter. Easy to take down and clean. On to the performance. At the range I was shooting 1-2 inch groups at about 10 yards at a slow pace. At rapid fire was shooting 5-7 inch groups using cheap ammo. This is my first Taurus and it will not be my last. Phenomenal pistol. Nice job Buds and especially Taurus.
