Picked up ar FFL and went to range right away, Great gun shot just over 100 rounds with no problem at all. This is a Great gun for the money and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the feel of a larger gun, at 29 oz you know its there for sure but recoil light to none. First purchase at Buds but will not be the last, Great prices, Great Service, Love the layaway plan, only draw back is the ACH time frame on funds, 6 days is a long long hold.Need to look into another processor. Thanks Buds you now have a new customer , already looking at the next purchase!

I'm a little iffy about this particular model. I like the way it shoots, very manageable recoil. Accuracy is ok up to 20 yards. Beyond that, it can get tricky. I have had a few ftf , inspecting the casing, it looks like a light strike. I like this gun, will it replace my 92? NO. Good as a back up gun. I originally bought this model based on the design. If I could, I would have gotten either the new g2 24/7 or the 92c.

Got the gun in today. First overall impression is that it's a pretty big gun. I love the way it feels and seems very balanced. I owned several taurus pistols and this is probably going to be my new favorite over my 92af. I can't wait to get out to the range and put some lead down range. Biggest con is the fact that there are no holsters that are made specifically for this model. I did have a millienium fubus holster that worked for it. It has a tension screw on the holster and if adjusted just right it is as if it was made for the 809. Snaps in just perfectly the slide out is a bit tight but almost no different from how my 24/7 slides out from it's fubus holster. another thing is the mag release. It is sticky as heck. It came with two mags and one does not work very well at all when the mag release is pressed. You almost need to use both thumbs to press it hard enough to release. Tried lubing it to see if it would help but maybe just needs to break in the spring with a few hundred presses. From a scale of 1-10, I give it a 8.5. Reccomend to buy ? yes . Will post another review after a range session.

This is the first handgun I have purchased, and I couldn't be happier. Bud's had the gun to my FFL in 3 business days. I love the way this gun feels in my hand, and the fact that it has a hammer is a big plus for me. I took it out to the range today and put 3 boxes of different rounds through it without any problems - American Eagle, Remington, and some other cheap brand. I had 2 FTFs with the cheap brand, but the gun reset itself and on the second strike the rounds went off. The sights were accurate too. You can't beat Buds prices. My local shop wanted $200 more for this gun...
