Purchased the Hi-Point 9MM after reading/seeing the +/- comments regarding the brand. The YOUTUBE video where they run over it, abuse it and dump it in a bucket of muck and it **STILL** fires was pretty impressive. Not to mention the LIFETIME GUARANTEE: if it's not working right, send it back--NO Q's ASKED!! The fact that it's made in the good ol' U.S. of A. is the proverbial icing on the cake. Great service from BUD'S; I plan on purchasing from them again--probably sooner than later (one can never have enough "go boom" products). Thanka BUD'S!!!!

was skeptical as to how this pistol might perform based on how inexpensive it was but have been absolutely thrilled with it! have put about 100 rounds through it without any problems!

5 stars because of the price and the fact i just put 100+ rounds through it without an issue used federal ammo from walmrt hydrashocks and fmj. yeah its not a good looking gun, people will give you sht about it, but the FFL i picked it up from had nothing but good to say about them. i cleaned and oiled it when i got it and after shooting. only issue mine has is the slide doesnt quite clear the pin on the right side so to take it apart i have to jam a zip tie in between the slide and hold so it stays back another mm or 2 then i can knock out the pin. could easily fix this in 2 sec with a dremmel. was going to purchase another firearm from buds but it was only available to VIP members so i purchased elsewhere. buds was good though shipped fast.

I've had one of Hi-Point's 9mm carbines for over 12 years now and it's a fun and dependable little rifle. Two of my grandkids have learned to shoot with that little gun. So, I thought I'd try one of Hi-Point's handguns. I've a boatload of 9mm so that's the one I went for. Also, I'm not a newbie as I've over a dozen "name brand" handguns and I'm not limited money wise. I was just curious about how much gun you could get for the price. When I got it I found that it's a big hunk of alloy sitting on top of a plastic lower. So, it's heavy and to me a bit unwieldy straight out of the box. But, I put a Hogue Handall on the grip and that helps in that regard. To me the Hogue gives is a better feel and more control. Like other reviews on the C9, I find that it's not a pretty handgun, but every time I pulled the trigger it fired. I fed it an assortment of South African and Spanish surplus FMJ; Wolf lacquer cased; S&B; PMC; and Federal Hydra-Shoks (which it will be loaded with 99% of the time) and not one FTF or stovepipe... it digested and fired all of it, over 200 rds during that first session. It has good sights and even with these old eyes it did 3 inch groups at 7 yards. That's good enough for a nightstand gun and that's where it now resides. A lot of gun for such a low price and made up in the Buckeye State which is good. I'm very happy with it. Plus, I'm happy with Bud's and the transfer FFL, Kitchen's Guns of Ashland, KY, good folks, all.
