Purchased the 9mm, grips are a bit funky being hi-impact molded poly, but I've gotten used to them. After getting it home for the FFL dealer, I cleaned it and changed out the rear sight to the ring/ghost rear sight (sight included). My personal preference is that I really like it and wish I had one for my 5906. I checked the feed ramp seeing if it would need to be smoothed out and polished, but it looked pretty good so I left it. Magazine release and thumb safety easy to use, a bit different than I am used to, but with practice (training) it is no longer a factor.
Went to the range and it handled every thing I threw at it (500+ rounds), +P, brass or nickle, not problem, ball rounds, hallow point, not issues, then I thought I'd see if it would have any issues with Hornady Critical Duty rounds and again, no issues whatsoever. Great gun for the price, handles well, not the prettiest, but functions as a firearm should. Like with any firearm, practice with it, clean it and take care of it and it will take care of you.
Take this gun at what it is, do not try and compare to other guns, I think it is a good reliable gun that may not be a S&W or other well known gun maker, but it is USA made, a lifetime warranty, is at an incredible price and like I said, it functions as a gun should.
Also purchased the Fobus high ride holster from Buds, and overall, I like the set-up.
Buds shipping was great as usual, and of course, hats off to GI Arms in WA, great FFL dealer.
