Love this gun. Took it out for the first time this weekend and loved it. Might be my new favorite handgun!!

A big ammo chucker. It swallows everything with no hiccups. My only complaint is the paddle magazine release. It irritates my trigger finger when I am shooting it. Now if you get in a bad situation you will not notice it but for casual shooting you will. At least I do. Other than that a fine pistol. If you work the trigger on an M&P you have a nicer gun. But that is just me

The HK45 is one of the most excellent pistols in my collection. It points and shoots on par with a custom 1911 at a third of the price. Mine came with the "glow in the dark" contrast sights, as opposed to the tritium night sights. After some experience with the gun, I prefer them over the night sights, as they are more vivid and easier to pick up. In over 1000 rounds, I have not had a single failure feeding mostly FMJ factory loads and FMJ reloads. My gun came with the V1 fire control group, which has a DA/SA trigger and frame-mounted safety/decocker. The trigger itself is nothing to write home about with an overly heavy DA pull and a deep groove cut into the trigger guard that can pinch your finger. The SA pull, on the other hand has a nice crisp break and tactile reset. Make no mistake, this is a serious combat weapon, not a pampered and polished target pistol. The trigger works superbly for the gun's intended purpose. If you are considering purchasing this gun, I highly recommend it. You will enjoy shooting it and you will be impressed by its inherent accuracy over competitive brands. Buds had the best price out of all of my sources, and handled the transaction as advertised.

A true work of art. This Book of Eli gun is a beast. I can see why HK is so expensive. Once the gun is broken in the DA/SA trigger is awesome. Especially the SA. Smooth and crisp. My only complaint would be getting used to the sights and where to aim. I have heard HK's have a different sight picture. I will buy another HK in the future. And of course Bud's is awesome.

these were on sale, and I thought how can you go wrong with a .45 Hk,,, well you cant, this gun fits my hand and it has a changeable grip piece, as well as the slide lock for security, gun came perfect, on time and correct, this is second gun from buds, will be many more, thanks again,,,

I have to say the HK 45 has been a bit of a disappointment. The grip doesn't feel particularly ergonomic to me (I prefer a wider grip like my XDm and Paras). The trigger has a lot of take up and is not nearly as crisp as I had hoped. On the positive side, it has functioned flawlessly with a variety of ammunition and is reasonable accurate, but not as accurate as other less expensive guns I've owned. Overall, I feel like I overpaid for a name brand. I was hoping a $1000 polymer pistol would feel and perform better. Not a bad gun, just not up to the price tag IMHO.
