This was my first buy from Buds I would reccomend them to anyone the weapon was great, did not have a problem with it but you might use 5.56 nato rounds not the steel round after about 30 to 40 shot the chamber heats and the rounds stick and the rim on the round breaks after I went to the brass rounds everything shot well, this is a excellent weapon and I highly recomend it.

I bought this rifle a few years ago and its been great. No mods except a Rock River match 2 stage trigger, the original trigger was heavy and gritty. The rifle so far has had no malfunctions after 600rds. of really dirty surplus ammo from Guatamala, over a case of Wolf, and Im coming close to the end of a case of Federal. Close estimate of rounds through it so far, over 3k. i clean it well after shooting, shoot it pretty wet(lots of CLP) and it just keeps running like a sewing machine. I switched my Trijicon scope to another rifle, and use an Eotech with back up iron sights. Ive never shot the Smith from a bench, but in informal shooting 12 inch steel plates at 150 yds are a breeze with this setup. Ive used it in a few carbine matches, and it has stood up well. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another S@W AR. God my eyes on one now from Bud's. And Bud's service rocks! Best in the business, in my opinion. Ive bought over a dozen guns and some optics( my Eotech, for one) from Bud's. Ordered a Colt AR from them, came in scratched and gouged (in factory sealed box), all I did was refuse the transfer, call Bud's, shipped it back, and got my card credited, no problems whatsoever.

Great rifle, great value Have put almost 400 rounds through it with various brands (Hornady, PMC, reloads, even dirty Tula) and it has performed without any malfunction. If you are looking for a good basic rifle and want to "trick" it out exactly as you wish, I would recommend taking a look at this S&W.

I ordered mine and got it after 9 days. I give 3 stars because It comes with a wrong size stock and a loose hand guard. They are using high quality parts to build this gun ( chrome lined barrel etc.), however, the assemble quality is just horrible. If you decided to buy one of these S&W rifle, please remember to have some tapes ready so you can fix the loose parts right out of the box.

Amazing rifle. shot for the first time today. put 240 rounds through it. Federal, Tula. No failures at all. i put in a JARD single stage trigger which is absolutely amazing and would highly recommend. Also put on a floating quad rail handguard. the Buttstock and barrel nut were really really cinched down hard on the rifle out of the box. i'd recommend against using the all-in-one tools and make sure you use quality barrel wrench. Also, beware, the front gas block is same height as the upper receiver rail. so if you are purchasing front sights, get the ones that are meant to mount to handguards as they are shorter then the ones that mount to the gas blocks (which are typically lower height on other brands)
