This has been a great gun for shooting and hunting. Smooth and accurate and fun to shoot at yhe range and it has put meat on the table too. I would recommend it.

Hands down the most accurate hunting pistol I have ever shot. I put an Aimpoint T2 Micro on top and can almost keyhole shots at 50 yards (supported). Can’t wait to drop a deer with it this fall. Buds was great as usual with fast shipping and good customer service. The pistol is pricey, but worth every penny when it comes down to reliability and accuracy.

I've wanted a Stealth Hunter for a long time and finally got the cash together to buy one. I shoot a lot of .44 Mag, factory, lead, polymer coated, and hand loads with jacketed bullets. When this gun arrived at my FFL guy, I was surprised that the cylinder was fairly dirty. I retrieved my cleaning supplies and cleaned out the cylinder. I checked the barrel and was very surprised to see a heavy buildup of residue throughout the barrel. I used about 12 Kleen-Bore lead cleaning patches, each exiting the barrel in a very black condition. The barrel was still pretty dirty and I was going to continue when I realized the front sight wasn't in place any longer. It was in the carpet on the floor. I contacted Bud's and they gave me a telephone number to call Smith & Wesson. So I sent my as yet unfired (by me) gun to Smith for repair within 24 hours of receiving it. It came back in about 6 weeks without comment from Smith. It now has a sight, but the barrel hadn't been touched and still had the same residue as when I sent it to Springfield. I took it to the range and shot about 100 rounds of JHP factory ammo through the gun and after another thorough cleaning, it looks pretty good now. I believe that with another 100 rounds and more lead removal patches and gun oil it will look like a new gun ... The action is great and very smooth. I have 2 other PC revolvers and they have always been good and arrived in excellent condition when purchased -- much better than this one. So I'm left wondering: Why would Bud's send a dirty, cruddy gun to me -- don't they inspect them prior to shipment? Why would Smith say absolutely nothing about the condition of the barrel -- you'd think they would inspect the gun as part of their repair work. I have a lesser opinion of Performance Center guns after this purchase -- for $1425 I expect more. Smith did pay for shipping, but the wait time and condition on receipt were not impressive and will keep me from buying any more Smith revolvers that I can't inspect prior to receipt.

Excellent fit and finish. Only required one click of elevation adjustment to put it on target right out of the box. Very little muzzle lift or recoil. Fiber optic front sight would be a great improvement over standard sight as you tend to lose the front sight against dark targets and certain light conditions (when the sun's in your face). Grip feels very comfortable, not too narrow, fat or short. Crisp trigger. Fired a 50 round box of Fiocchi ammo with no issues.

I received my Stealth Hunter today and the front sight was loose in the dovetail! I could easily move it from side to side and there is now way there is any kind of quality control at Smith & Wesson - this is supposedly a ""Performance Center" gun. Shame on Smith & Wesson for allowing such shoddy work to leave the factory! Buds was five stars as usual. I will continue to use them and just pass on the S & W guns.

Barrel was canted way to the right. You would think for a 1300 dollar revolver they would carefully measure the frame/barrel alignment to make sure its perfect. I thought about sending it back to S&W, but I had sent another revolver to them at the time I discovered this issue for the same reason! I had to send a 627 PC back twice before they finally corrected the issues, and it took a total of 4 months for that process. After going through this, I wont be buying anymore smith and wessons.

Great gun, buds service is excellent, I am a repeat customer and I am very happy with all of my guns from bud's gun shop.

My new favorite. Standard great experience with Buds and my local FFL. Finally took her out; Ran about 75 rounds that rolled myself. This thing is smooth. Excellent timing, crisp trigger break, great single and double action, recoil minimal and very accurate. Extremely satisfied. If you ever see this available, do yourself a favor, buy it. I would recommend you also acquire some speed loaders, you will not want to set it down.

What a great gun! I has been every thing I hoped it would be. Handles exxtremely well, accurate, and the best looking 44 mag out there. Took my first deer with a pistol with this gun. Purchased as a present for myself for my 50th birthday., Thanks Buds for the great service.

Excellent 44 magnum not the cheapest thats for sure but handles fantastic and super quick shipping from Buds. Ordered on Sunday had it in my hands on Weds. This was my second purchase from Buds and will continue to buy from. This Smith and Wesson is solid.

Ordered the gun on a Thursday afternoon had it in my hands on Monday. Bud’s gun’s is great to deal with, or I should say there web site is! The gun is more than I was hoping for much easier to control than I originally thought. I set the sights and went through close to, two hundred rounds and it just kept getting better. I can’t wait till hunting season starts. Both get 5 stars.
