Basically a good shotgun. Good recoil pad, finish works for me and Buds delivered quickly. Had a spot of rust down in the receiver hinge area (I do not know shot gun lingo) I cleaned most of it up and the rest will be find way past when I am dead. I got mine all taped up for turkey season, fixed choke, modified I believe but will work find, nice patterns. So some self clinging tape, a side saddle shell holder and a sling made this my own. A shotgun that will last and one that can take a beating without me worried I just scratched up an expensive shotgun. 4 stars instead of 5 because, the spot of runt up by the hinge and why does a single shot hammered shotgun need a safety on it?

Great Single Barrel shotgun! I thought it would kick like a mule but it's not near that bad though with proper form and stance. Don't try to be like John Wayne in the movies with it though I tried that awhile back with a .410 and wish I hadn't

The Rossi 12 gauge is a no frills get down to business get er done tool. If you want big name with bragging ability go spend thousands of dollars on those other guns out there. If you want a work horse that will kill and shoot just the same and keep a lot of your money in your pocket, Rossi is it. Some say the Rossi 12 gauge has too much kick but I say it is about typical. It is light but that makes it easier for carrying out in the field. If you cant take the kick but have to have a shot gun then pad up for it. The single shot is all I need for varmits and self protection, and reloading can be done quickly as the spent shell is automatically ejected when you break open the barrel, slip a new one in and ready. The less moving parts something has the less chance of failure and the more savings for you. The safety features on this gun are a plus also. Buds gun shop is a great place for purchasing a gun no matter the price bracket. You'll have a hard time beating the prices here. You can also check out Rossi at

Cool shotgun, but if you don't want your ass kicked every time you pull the trigger you might want to look for something a lot tamer. These are not for the faint of heart they don’t weigh anything and even with the lightest, cheapest, wimpiest, baby round on the market today; it will kick the crap out of you. I'm not kidding most people I let shoot mine wont take a second shot they just put it down grab their shoulder and walk away. And that is exactly why I got one. I had a single shot 12ga back in the day and they will still wake you right up the first trigger pull of the day. So get one and load it with a 3" magnum 00 buck and watch your friends shot it.

I've taken it out Once so far and put about 20 rounds through it. Shoots fine so far. I shot some 7_1/2 estate loads (the cheapest Bud's has) and some Remington 000Buckshot and the kick was about the same. Like a teenager punching you in the shoulder... i expected worse. Good shotgun for the price. Just make sure and watch where you hold the gun... it can get pretty hot when you put 5 rounds through it within 30 seconds. Just wish it came in hardwood. 4 stars.
