Have had this pistol for a few years - This is my club match pistol and is smooth, dependable and accurate. Quality is top notch and everything about the gun is 10 out of 10. I am a senior and this pistol allows me to compete with the "Young Guns"
Also as always Bud's was Perfect from start to finish.

My buddy is a gun nut. He has everything made worth mentioning sometimes a few of them. The tanfoglio witness elite match was one of the very few guns that I’ve shot of his that I said “hey what is this one called again??? He also has a CZ tactical sport & a custom shadow. I’m familiar with CZ’s too. These tanfoglio elite match guns are hands down some of the smoothest shooting, lowest recoil, best bang for the buck guns ever made! They are absolutely a fine Example of a slide in frame “cz” style gun. The trigger on these is very good especially for the price! That is to be expected with the single action trigger the elite match come with. The heavy weight is very well balanced and really dampens recoil noticeably. My Critiques of this gun are I wish it came with 2 magazines. Keep the fancy case tanfoglio and put fiber optic front site on these guns and 2 magazines and wow what a shooter! The only other gun that impressed me like these for the under $800 gun arena check out the grand power Xcalibur....get one of these and a xcalibur thank me later 😎

My computer was down and it took 4 hours on the phone to get a sales person at Bud's Gun Shop. He was courteous and helpful as usual. The firearm is a real home run! It shoots as well or better than a CZ Sport and has a steel trigger instead of plastic. The case is outstanding! It looks like Armani designed it, but I would have preferred a cardboard box and 2 magazines. All in all, I'm really happy with the gun and it's a pleasure to shoot.

This has to be the smoothest shooting gun I have ever fired. There is no recoil due to its size and weight. The trigger is fantastic and has a lite pull. The slide just glides as if on ball bearings. This is a top notch gun. I wanted the Sphinx SDP but this gun is actually a better range gun. I guess you could carry it, but for me its too big. I love this purchase and would buy again.

This gun shoots extremely accurately and at 21ft I shot 15 rounds total and 5 of which went through the same hole. The group was under 2,5 inches at a slow rate of fire. The gun is heavy and large but it is what i expected. Anyone thats looking for extreme accuracy will love & appreciate this gun. It operates even better than it looks!

I picked up a Tanfoglio Witness Elite Match, chambered in 9mm from Bud's Gun Shop. I have never used the layaway option, so I took a chance and wanted to see how it worked. Very glad I did. The cash discount option is good, and was honored with each payment toward paying off the gun before their FREE & FAST delivery. The cash discount vs. credit card shouldn't really exist among online merchants, but it is what it is. The Match version of this 9mm Witness is a well-crafted piece. It fits well in my large hands, and the fit & finish is great. The quality is on par with guns twice the price of this Tanfoglio firearm. The trigger is the best I've used, and I'm hoping it doesn't spoil me in relation to the other pistols I currently own. The sight picture is OKAY. I highly recommend a fiber optic sight from eaacorp.com. Also, prepare to find some magazines, as it ships with only ONE mag. I can't complain about this, because of everything you're getting for just shy of $700. Money well spent! Thanks Bud's. You've earned a loyal customer. I put 200 rounds of Federal American Eagle through it. No hiccups, FTF, FTE so far. I will update my review once I hit 2000 rounds.

The EAA Whitness Elite Match is a very nice shooting firearm. Very well built with everything metal on it. I have 500+ rounds through it without any issues. It shoots accurate, feels nice in the hand and a smooth, light trigger. I would recommend this EAA Witness Elite Match 9 mm to anyone.

BEST PISTOL IVE EVER SHOT!!! I was worried as I wanted a comp gun but trusted others reviews (on about 20 sites/forums) and got this witness match...WOW! Instantly made me a 100-200% better shooter. Awesome trigger, stupid comfortable to hold use/no pressure points. Just an awesome solid gun. Put 250 pack of mag tech cheapo through and it never hinted at a problem whatsoever...I will be buying this gun in 10mm and possibly 38 super. Shoot one...and you will own one. Mags are no longer a problem either! I ordered 3 from EAA and they were shipped to me for a $85! That's a great deal for 3 17rd mags all made by Mec kar as is the one it comes with.

This is a great pistol. I was looking for a larger pistol since I have large hands, and this pistol fits perfectly. I took it to the range today, and it performed very well. I don't consider myself an expert shooter, but the groupings were very consistent, and it never had a problem with feeding or ejecting ammo. I know others consider this pistol to be large and heavy, but even my wife who has small hands was able to shoot this pistol very well. This was my first purchase from Bud's, but it will not be my last. The purchase experience and the pistol are both A++++++++++++++++.

Purchased this gun last year from Bud's, put hundreds of rounds through it. Great quality, accurate and never jammed or misfed. Not sure if Bud's reads these reviews, but as stated by others it is 17+1. Highly recommend!

Great shooting pistol! Hard to add more to what was already said, however, mine came with different grips than the the rubber Tanfoglio ones shown in the pic above. They're plastic and have thumb grooves on both sides. Kind of annoying. Anyone know where I can get the factory rubber grip panels shown in the picture above?

This is my 2nd of the EAA Witness Match pistol. I purchased 2 of the same pistols because I liked the 1st one so much. I have and have shot many pistols but for the price this is absolutely one of the best! The only negative thing was the spring is so powerful in the magazine I had to pinch the lips of the mag tighter to keep it from double feeding into the chamber when cycling. This is one of the best shooting pistols and in my opinion a sleeper. A little large and heavy for carry, but great for home and range.

This is part 1 of my review of this gun. Part 2 will come after my first range visit with this gun. It appears no one is interested in talking about the fit and finish of this gun. While the gun has really nice looks, though some with disagree, there are some things that should be mentioned about the gun.Keep it mind, this review is about MY gun which I received last week. These items may vary from gun to gun. Here are my comments: 1. The gun is huge and very heavy. This is the largest, heaviest 9mm I've ever handled. I am guessing the weight translates to more stable shooting. The majority of the weight is in the front of the gun. The frame mass is very heavy up front, making up for a smaller, lighter slide. Fill up the magazine and the pistol is even heavier. If you buy this gun you will get a very good weight lifting work-out on your right arm.(it's not ambidextrous) 2. With a full magazine inserted, this gun is amazingly balanced, though still very heavy. It seems to aim itself perfectly. 3. This sights are so low it's apparent it will be very accurate. Basically you are looking down the top of the barrel when you are aiming. 4. Personally I don't like a solid black front blade type sight. I used a little pro sight paint and first put down a bright white layer, let it dry and then applied a bright orange layer. This creates a sort of glowing orange sight. The sight is now very visible. The rear sights are great but without alignment dots, getting a good sight picture is very difficult with a dark background. The front sight is now very visible but the back sight disappears when you are pointing at a dark background. Since the adjustable rear sights are so awesome, I'm going to a gun smith to have him precisely drill two dimples on the sight so I can paint them white. 5. This one is a biggy: The machining on this gun is beautiful but not very refined. The front edges of the slide (Black) and the front edges of the frame (SS) are the ones to watch out for. They are literally sharp enough to cut you if you run your hand or finger across an edge quickly, like when you rack the slide. Since the front end of the slide appears to be stainless with black anodizing there is nothing I could do about it. I would end up with the front edge of the slide having smooth silver colored edges. For the front of the frame, I just used a fine grain finishing file and carefully filed all the edges of the front of the frame paying most attention to the area next to the front cocking serrations. They will cut you while racking the slide from that position. They are nice and rounded now so the worst that could happen is a bruise from hitting the frame while racking the slide (see next comment). Wear Gloves! 6. THE SLIDE - If you look carefully at the picture, notice that the slide is quite short in height compared to the frame and compared to most guns. It requires a careful grip to grab it and rack it. If you have large hands like me, it is a bit of an issue but I always wear gloves so that will help. I am temped to see if a gunsmith can install a custom slide racker so I can grab it more quickly and with more confidence. 7. The magazine DOES NOT hold 18 rounds. My gun is not an 18 + 1 gun. The magazine is clearly marked 17 on the side holes and I use a LULA speed loader so it's not because I couldn't push the 18th round into the mag. It flat does not fit. This is not a big issue for me but it's being advertized as a 18 + 1 gun. Mine is not. 8. It came with a light coating of cosmoline which is still extremely stick and viscous. Cleaning the gun up was a bit of a chore but YOU MUST CLEAN THIS GUN PRIOR TO FIRST FIRE! There should be no exception to that. The gun is very easy to to field trip. However, since the slide release lever is still new, it takes quite a push to pop it out when breaking the gun down. I used a layer of towel and tapped it with a hammer and it popped right out. The 2nd and 3rd breakdowns, I was able to pop it out with my thumb so it's loosening up a bit. Overall, this appears to be a great gun with the above exceptions. Everything is tight and with extremely precise machining. I could almost compared the precision to my Sig 1911 Traditional Match Eliite. Of course, Sig is much more refined in terms of the edges of their pistols, but this gun seems to have the precision machining of my Sig. The slide is very tight as well as everything else on this gun. IMO, THIS IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR CARRY AS THIS PISTOL IS HUGE AND HEAVY

I have shot a lot of guns, but none have been as accurate as this one. Wow, makes me look much better than I am. Gun was great, shipping was fast. Could not be more happy with it!

I was skeptical of how good this gun would be. I own CZ's, XDM, Ruger and others. These guns were okay, but I had to work hard to shoot well with them and not to mention costly to upgrade them. This gun out of the box out shot em. WOW! Couldn't believe how well it performed I had to go back to the range the next day to make sure. On the 3rd day after receiving the gun I competitively shot against other guns costing 2 and 3 times more and won consistantly! This gun is made similar to the CZ and is all steel. I bought it for a range gun and competitively shooting with friends. This is a sleeper and one of the best values on the market today. Bud's offers it for a great deal. Great job Bud's and a special thanks to Bud's VIP group for keeping my gun hobby fun!

One of the best hand guns on the market. You get top of the line quality and looks for a very low price. Tanfoglio has made parts for other gun manufacture for years and thanks to EAA you get a competition hand gun at a very good price. I own more than a few weapons and this is my favorite.

I love this Tanfoglio! One of my favorites for killing paper and ringing steel. Awesome quality for very low price. Slide to frame fit is excellent, it cycles very smoothly and is very accurate. The controls are perfect in size, not to small and not oversized. I did replace the trigger and added a f/o front sight, but otherwise I think this gun an excellent piece and super deal out of the box.

AMAZING! I cant believe you can get more gun for the money. Dont pass this up worth every penny and some. Its a great shooter all around. Single action is short and crisp without any creep. You would have to pay double or triple the price to get any other brand to perform like this. If you love shooting and want a great competition ready pistol dont waist your money on custom name brands get this first, especially if you're a CZ, Beretta or Browning fan. Best gun money could buy. Buds service was great as usual. Fast shipping payed on Monday was delivered on Wednesday.

AMAZING! I do not believe you can get more gun for the money, period. I'm actually a little annoyed about how bad this gun makes my $3k 1911 look in comparison. I will be getting another in another caliber, maybe more... This could quite possibly be the best sleeper deal on the planet.
