Buds slow shipper took 1 month to get here, but the H&R 223 SB2 single shot rifle is great, comes with a hammer extension, weaver rail, lock and owners manual, fit & finish awesome, wood laminated stock is super nice, beautiful 24'' super bull barrel 1:9 twist, shot SUB MOA @ 400 meters using 55-70 grain fmj's , no front or rear iron sights, mounted a 6-24X Night Force scope and she's a tack driver for sure. will be buying a H&R 7mm Rem Mag soon.

Awsome rifle, solid, simple and build well... I returned the rifle because according to H&R/NEF 5.56 is not recomended... Buds says 5.56 is ok to fire... and looking at the weapon I am absolutely convinced that it will fire the higher pressure 5.56 without a problem, for me, the shorter throat leade of the .223 was an issue I couldn't get past... Great rifle at a great price, and once again Bud's stands head and sholders above any other gun shop I have ever delt with...

I bought this rifle for varmint and hog control. I mounted a Simmons 3-9X50 8 Point Rifle scope and then bore sighted and took it to the range. Don't let the low price fool you, this is an accurate rifle! I can drive tacks at 100 - 200 yards using this rifle. I have several auto-loading rifles, but I wanted a single-shot because of my philosophy of "one shot - one kill" means that I take more time and effort with a single-shot rifle because I know that there may not be time for a follow-up shot. New England makes a fine rifle and I will probably be purchasing another one of these rifles in .308 in the near future. As always, service and shipping speed from Bud's was the best!
