Well, I spent some time at the range today. Me and a buddy spent about 300 rounds on this brand new XDM 40 cal 4.5.
First, the groups we shot have never been tighter and we are used to shooting a H&K P2000 40 cal. so the only variable was the gun, the match grade barrel and that trigger really make a differance.
Second, we did have some failure to feeds. To the guns defence it was at the end of the 300 rounds, it had not been cleaned, we had been shooting some pretty hot rounds (Federal- Law Enforcement Ammo), also I had switched to some old ammo that instead of being Ball Ammo it was a hollow point that was from the tip of the round was tapered at an angle to the casing and I believe that bounced off of the feed ramp and got hung-up on the chamber. The failures only did happen on the last round for some reason. I did load 3 mags. again and it shot them flawlessly after those failures, had to be the ammo.
Even with the 3 failures to feed I still am giving this XDm a perfect rating.
The entire transaction was great.
