This was my very first gun purchase. I'm amazed at how well it feels in my hand, how easy it is to site in on the target with both eyes, and how well it functions. I have ran 550 rounds through this gun without a single hiccup. For target practice I have been using the PMC Bronze 115gr and they shoot really smooth and don't require much time to clean the gun afterwards. I have also shot about 200 rounds of hollow points through it. 50 Gold Dots, and 150 Hornady Critical Defense 115gr. All worked flawlessly. I recently purchased from Buds some TruGlow Night sights, and a Crimson Trace trigger guard laser. Looks like they will be here tomorrow. Exceptional service!! This gun was purchased for Home defense and felt I needed the advantage at night. So between the night sights and the laser, I think I'll be covered. Now I'm hooked though and plan on getting my Conceal Carry, and picking up a compact. It'll probably be the XDM 3.8 after the wonderful experience I've had so far.

This is an amazing gun! After handling and trying other 9mm pistols by other manufacturers, I found this gun to be very impressive and a pleasure to both own and shoot. I will definitely be buying other Springfield pistols in the future.

Excellent pistol. Great service with Buds. Springfield promotional clips are already in hand and I sent the rebate form electronically on September 15th. They arrived on the 20th. That's the quickest rebate turn around I've ever seen. Great service all around

after a year and several thousand ammo's, the gun is still very good, fired the cheapest russian made ammo's to the premium one's with no problem! can't complain, gun's trigger, accuracy and capacity is very good, very nice range and home defense gun! all in all, a decent gun out of the box that doesnt hurt you pocket!

Just purchased my 3rd XDM. I also have a H&K P30L and an S&W M&P. They are all great guns but my personal favorites are the XDM's. I have large hands and with the biggest backstrap installed the XDM's fit me the best ergonomically. Although the H&K has less recoil the accuracy of the XDM"s is as good as the H&K. The type of ammo makes no difference. I expect all my guns will give me 75,000+ rounds before needing major work.
Buds shipment service was extraordinary. I ordered the gun on a Monday afternoon and it arrived at my FFL by the following Wednesday morning.
