This rifle, for the money, is a fantastic gun! Unlike my first Rossi this one has nice grained wood and a great finish and is the most accurate rifle out of the box I've ever owned. It is heavy but you have to love these old replica guns especially 45 Colt. I have more expensive and well known lever rifles but this one is by far the most fun to take to the range. You will not be disappointed if you choose to buy one.

Received the rifle quickly as usual for Buds. The rifle was in great condition but would cycle hard and rough. Doing some research on the internet I found out if I polished certain items in the gun it would ease and smooth the levers cycling action and it worked, the rifle is very smooth and easy to cycle and shoots great

I had see horror stories about Rossi 92s. Well, this is my second one and I will tell you, none of the nastie things are true. No, the stocks are not covered with shoe polish. Both of mine are nice but plain grained hard wood with a smooth finish. Yes, the insides are full of machining oils. Spray brake cleaner takes care of that and when I replaced the ejector spring (both weapons), I rubbed everything down and lubed the needed parts as I put it back together. Both rifles are slick and reliable. I could have spend more, a lot more, but with the Rossi, I know the insides and how everything works. I appreciate what is being done as I work the action. Greater satisfaction for me.

great piece. it is 13+1. accurate as the shooter. iron sights @ 50yds. pretty impressive for this 60yr. old eye glass wearing shooter. the gun is a little heavy, but in the heat of battle one would hardly notice. half the price of other guns and near as fine a quality. buds offers lifetime warranty for next to nothing. if you thinking about it go ahead and get one you will be glad you did.

Overall a great rifle. Good fit and finish, not as nice a Uberti reproductions, but very good quality for the money. The action was functional but a little stiff out of the box, but can be substantially improved with the additional of a Palo Verde Gunworks spring kit. Check The Smith Shop for this kit and other goodies like stainless magazine followers for the Rossi 92. Reliability has not been a problem with this rifle. I've ran a few hundred rounds through it, including some Wild Bunch and SASS matches, with no issues at all thus far. Interestingly, it is less OAL sensitive than my Rossi 92 chambered in 357/38. This rifle has handled LRN, SWC, and RNFP loads of highly variable lengths with aplomb. More interesting yet is that it will even feed 45 Schofields, although not very smoothly. For a sub-$500 lever gun this thing cannot be beat for an entry level pistol caliber lever gun, and is a good starter rifle for CAS. It may not run with slicked Uberti 73s, but for less than half the cost it is a good option. Also makes for a good back-up rifle down the road!
