I'd been researching this rifle for a while and, on delivery, found everything exactly as I wanted and expected. The rear peep sight is a bit large in opening but I was already aware of that and planned to put a scope on it anyway. The best part is that the scope rings and even a rail already come with the rifle. Installation was a breeze. The length and weight make it easy to carry. One of the best parts... it's just plain fun to shoot! Love it!

love this rifle!! Glad I bought one when I did because the price has skyrocketed! It’s like a 10/22 on steroids or a M1A going through transitioning. Feels great and shoots great. I like the tacticool version better than the original but you can’t go wrong with either. Thanks buds for having them at the lowest price I could find!

I am impressed with the 5.56mm Ruger Mini-14. It looks good and it's a quality product for both target shooting and home defense. I trained with the 7.62mm M-14 at Parris Island and Ruger has been true to the original look and feel of the military version I loved and appreciated at that time. Buying from Bud's Gun Shop went well and I was able to make the purchase at a very good price. Very satisfied with both the seller and the product.

Great rifle. Minis will never be the most accurate rifle out there no matter what they do it seems, but it is exactly what I wanted for a truck gun. Inside 100 yards its perfect. Inside 200 yards its good. Love it .

I had an AR-15 but soon decided that I was too old school for the AR platform. My military training had been with the M-1 Garand and the M-14 . I sold the AR-15 to my son-in-law and purchased a Ruger Mini-14 Tactical from Bud's Gun Shop. What a great little rifle, well built and a fun gun to shoot. These new Mini-14 rifles are much more accurate that the older rifles. I was a Texas Peace Officer some years ago and had a Ruger Mini-14 in my patrol car so I was familiar with the Mini-14. No regrets for purchasing a Ruger Mini-14 Tactical. The barrel is threaded for a can if you so desire.

Reliable as other mini14s but i found the ranch model to be more accurate. I could only get 3moa out of this.

What a fun rifle to shoot! Easy ordering and quick delivery.

Nice rifle. Out of the box with iron sites we were hitting a 10in steel gong at 125yds. The rifle cycled smooth and we experienced no jams. Fit and finish was good. The rifle came with 2 20rnd mags and pad lock. I'm very pleased with the rifle. Another flawless transaction from Buds.

I was looking for a .223/5.56 rifle for awhile. I didn't want an AR platform because of the look, and I didn't want to have a weapon that is illegal in states where assault type rifles are deemed illegal. I wanted a more traditional look in a semiautomatic, but not the gun my dear departed father too to the South Pacific with the Marines in WWII. The Mini-14 was the answer! Light enough to carry, but "modern" enough to support muzzle accessories and lots of customizing options. I've been familiar with Ruger for a long time so the brand was a definite plus. But I read something that was so compelling I pulled the trigger. Someone wrote, "The perfect truck gun". Conversation over.

Once again thanks to Bud's for making the purchase of a firearm through the mail so convenient, and don't have to pay 8.5% tax. As far the mini 14, a real pleasure to shoot. It is accurate as opposed to some on YouTube who really complain especially about the older models. Put this weapon right up their with my AR15.

Great little rifle! It took about a week for the FFL processing before it shipped, but then I had it at my LGS within a couple of days. The transaction was easy, and I had my pick of several FFL's in my area for the transfer. The rifle itself is everything I hoped for: typically good Ruger quality, fit & finish, came with 2 20rd mags, scope rings, and a little pic rail that mounts over the receiver. I would note that the rail has a relief cut into it to aid in ejection, so there's a section that isn't available for mounting anything (about 2" long & 3/8" wide starting 1" from the front end). The rifle functions flawlessly and the trigger is better than I expected. I did put an Accuracy Systems adjustable gas block on it to slow the action down, because wide open this thing chucks brass about 20 yards! Accuracy is pretty good. It shoots around 2-3 MOA with bulk 5.56 & .223. I worked up some 69gr SMK loads that group about 1-1/2 MOA. Overall I really like this rifle, I love the sound and feel of the Garand-style action, it's high quality, and it's just a super handy carbine.

Great little rifle!... very quick and easy to find your target. Eats up everything I've fed it. The worst thing about this rifle is the rear sight... Ruger could do a lot better.... finger adjustable Ruger!
