Just recieved the M&P9 today and loved it. It was actually a gift for my wife after messing with the gun I actually really liked it. My wife loves the feel of the M&P9c it just fits perfect in her hands and she loves the fact that it has a manual safety as well. She has very small hands and the three extra backstraps are a definite bonus for her. We have not taken it to the range but as soon as we do I will update. The M&P9c is also very nice for a concealed carry pistol. The extra mag with pinky extension is great for someone with larger hands. Fit and Finish on the weapon is overall very good and looks beautiful. To sum it up this is a good choice for conceal carry and fits real well for the ladies with smaller hands. I recommend.

I hated the safety on this model. Sold it to buy a M&P9C with no safety.

This is a great compact gun. With the three handgrips you can find one that makes the gun feel just right in your hand. I held a Glock and Ruger but neither felt as good in my hand as the S&W. I have put about 250 rounds through this gun using several different brands of ammo and there has not been a single FTF or FTE. The magazine is pretty stiff and it is difficult to get the full 12 rounds in it without a magazine loader, but I consider that a very minor problem. This gun is very accurate and has very managable recoil. It is easy to disassemble for cleaning. However mine did develope a problem after several cleanings where the take down lever would not lock in place. I sent the gun back to S&W and they took care of the problem and I had the gun back within a week or two. Great service. It is a bit heavy if you want to carry it all day, but I find that I get used to the weight pretty quickly and then hardly even notice I am carrying it. It conceals well with an inside the waistband holster. You can't go wrong with this gun!

First off, Merry Christmas everyone! I purchased my M&P 9C in early October this year and when I first took it out to shoot, I was shooting low left. I'm new to guns and my short experience is shooting my Browning Buckmark SS with a 5 1/2 inch barrel (which I really enjoy shooting), so I'm sure my lack of experience with 9mm had a lot to do with that dilemma. Well, I just recently purchased 2, 17 round magazines and 2 X Grips to give my 9C a longer grip, and that made all the difference for me. I was happy with my purchase of the M&P 9C, but now I'm stoked!

This is my first pistol, so I cannot compare it to how other ones shoot. I held a few others but this one felt the best in my hand. I put 100 rounds through it today with zero function issues. However after 20 rounds the front white dot feel off. This seems to be common after doing a little research online. No big deal, will repaint it myself. Very happy with this purchase. Cleaning this pistol is very easy, very few steps to take it apart. My wife likes the changeable sized grips as the pistol can fit both our hands. Very happy with purchasing this pistol!

I had have had the M&P 9mm C back from S&W for some time now and have put about another 400 or so rds tru it.So far the FS has stayed in place but its looks like Smith put in a used FS they dug up somewhere. The white dot was filthy dirty and its has bear metal showing at the base from the push tool.Like its been pushed in/out more the once. Also the dot was much larger on the orginal. It was the same size has the rear dots, much smaller on the one that came back on the gun.It is for sure not a new factory front sight.Iam tru being ticked at S&W and Iam tru spending my money on them.
