This is a pretty good revolver. It is basically indestructable - like all Rugers, and has reasonably good fit and finish. I also have the S&W 38 Bodyguard which I like a little better and the S&W 442 both of which are not as rugged as the Ruger, in my opinion, but close to it and hadle better with full power, (not plus P) loads. It is so close that you would not trade one revolver for another. One thing good about the Ruger is that it REALLY smacks the primer. I loaded up some 38's with european made small rifle primers in light loads by mistake (I'm NOT recommending this!) and the Ruger fired 100 of them without a flinch. The Bodyguard fired none - It doesn't hit the primer very hard. The S&W 442 and S&W 36 would fire about 80% of them on the first try and all on the second try. But the Bodygurad runs fine with normal ammo. All in all a good gun and an excellent revolver for someone who needs a defensive gun but does not have a lot of firearms experience. It is so simple: - point gun, pull trigger, repeat as necessary.

Outstanding revolver! Weight and grip are amazing. However the real star of the show is the double action trigger! Very smooth trigger pull! One issue for me is that the retaining screw for the cylinder release button worked loose. I just happened to notice it during cleaning, so I reinstalled with a little blue loc-tite. Could have easily lost the screw out at the range… not good. I'll have to knock one star off for this. Overall outstanding CC revolver!

Bought this gun for my mom as a home defense firearm. We took it to the range and fired 50 normal .38 specials and 100 .38+P. The revolver was 100% reliable and very accurate for a snubbie. Really enjoyed the grips and personally didn't notice much difference between the normal .38s and the +P. If you're looking for a good carry option and you are not very familiar with firearms then I highly recommend this revolver. Extremely light, very reliable, powerful, and best of all simple. My mom has very little firearm experience and could not grasp the concept of a semi-automatic handgun (understandably considering her level of training and experience) but she was a natural with the simplicity and ease of a revolver. She never missed a man sized silhouette once and she became very confident and proficient with her new handgun. I think I made an excellent choice in firearm for her and I recommend this gun highly to anyone looking to guy a new shooting a self defense gun or someone who is looking for one for themselves. Trigger was great on a double action only handgun. I carry a full size 1911 but I will definitely be buying one of these for my self because I enjoyed everything about it so much. As for the buds transaction and price, I got nothing but great things to say. I saw this gun used in a gun case for sale at a shop for the same price I got it new from buds. I feel like I got a great deal.

This was my second purchase from Bud's (first was a Taurus PT145 Millenium Pro) a couple of years ago. The service was great as usual. I took the LCR out to the range for the first time today. It's a smooth-shooting gun. The trigger is practically perfect. I fed 125-grain +P Winchester JHPs through it...recoil was definitely manageable. I'd recommend Bud's and the LCR to anyone.

PURCHASED FROM BUDS A YEAR AGO. THIS IS MY EDC CARRY GUN. I LOVE IT. GUN IS EXCELENT. I CARRY IWB CROSSBREAD HOLSTER. YOU FORGET YOU HAVE IT ON. I SHOOT THIS REVOLVER MORE ACCURATELY THAN ANY OTHER I OWN. I DO NOT THINK THE RECOIL IS BAD AT ALL.
