Fires FMJ at 100%, but some JHP fail to feed. Accurate enough. Perfect pocket pistol size. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this.

Purchased about 5 years ago for my concealed carry, Did carry a Sig Sauer p-239 357 Sig. But this this Taurus quickly became my favorite. And I've carried it. Every since, lightweight and virtually rust-proof I'm sure it will become your favorite, too. 👍👍

I got this for a backup and never cared for it so I traded it off and got a PT 709 slim to take its place.

Very happy with the TCP...shot 50 rounds with no FTF right out of the box...After cleaning shot another 50 rounds again perfect results...trigger is smooth and long. Best 380 i have ever owned..i started carrying today....so easy to carry in the pocket....if you don't have one i suggest you get one before they are all gone as Taurus has discontinued this for the Spectrum. By the way this has a lifetime warranty on it...all newer Taurus firearms only carry 1 year. i have never had an issue with taurus...I own 2 taurus Millennium's and Pt-92 as well....all great weapons...The best gun for the price in the world...

Fast shipping. This gun will shoot FMJ ammo all day long but I had some FTF with HP ammo. It was a good price on the pistol. I am sastified with the purchased.

Sold. had trouble feeding rounds. Probably would have worked OK if I'd shot it more but preferred the Ruger Don

I ordered this product for my wife but I'll be honest with you it is has extreme extremely tolerant and it is very hard to release the slide mechanism with your son that almost takes two thumbs if not you have to pull back the slide little bit but I'm hoping that when I put rounds through it that it will loosen up but like always packed very well time for delivery was acceptable for where I live I hope I can get stuff a little bit faster but I understand being a big Corporation in so many orders that come through I know you guys do your best but just like my other ones I talked about as I hope your guys this price to stay as low as possible and if that happens I am a big spender on ammo and guns and I would like to continue with buds your customer service has been outstanding very nice and I have nothing but good things to say about buds

Firstly. Buds was great! This review is strictly about the gun. To cut to the chase. Do NOT purchase this firearm. Brand new out of the box I have had several failure to feed problems from 200 rounds. Do research on the internet and YouTube and it will become abundantly clear that this firearm is of poor quality. I also have a Ruger LCP which worked flawlessly right out of the box 150 rounds. Believe me, the LCP is of better quality. Go to a gun store, handle both guns, rack the slides etc. and you will feel the difference in craftsmanship. I will never buy another Taurus firearm. Again...Buds was GREAT!!! I will definitely purchase from Buds in the future!

The Taurus TCP is a great value! I love my Glock 19 but I wanted something smaller for warm weather CC. I spent some time researching the 380s on the market before making my decision. The Glock 42 and the Kahr are quality handguns and were in the finals but user feedback, the price point, quality and the Taurus guarantee were the deciding factors. I took it to the range the day after I picked it up from the FFL. I have to say I really like the TCP. It shoots well, has a terrific trigger, is accurate and has less recoil than I expected. I shot 50 rds of new 90 gr Hornady XTP and 50 rds of Freedom Munitions 100 gr. re-manufactured FMJ (reman not recommended by Taurus). Surprisingly, I had 3 failures to feed on the new Hornady and zero on the FMJ. Not sure why. 2 of the rounds fed when first in the mag but the third would not feed no matter what I tried. I'm going to pick up a box of Golden Saber and some Speer Gold Dot before my next trip to the range. Service from Buds was excellent. 4 out of 5 stars only because of the feed issue with the Hornady XTP.

After much study about the firearm, I decided to buy it. I wanted a 380 carry conceal pistol that looked good, as well as get my wife interested to shoot. Seems I've found it. The low cost and high quality made the purchase irresistible. Got a great price via Bud's. Service was excellent. First time at the range I shot 7 rounds of each of these: Winchester HP tip, Blazer Brass, Tul Ammo, PMC, and Perfecta. All worked without any problems whatsoever…except the Perfecta. There is a slight ridge on their casing, that it doesn't chamber well at all. Tried some 12 times, and was only able to get 3 bullets through. Gun disassembles and reassembles very easily. It's ideal for a smaller hand. Recoil is very manageable. Fixed sights were accurate. Trigger pull is fuller than I expected, though it didn't seem to affect my aim. It's a great buy for all. I'm somewhat new to guns, and thoroughly impressed with this product. Would highly recommend.

Purchased Stainless version of Taurus TCP 738, and I've shot about 100 rounds through it so fat, no issues. It's got a sweet trigger, a bit long but smooth and light. You have to work on figuring the best grip for two hands, and use the pad of your finger to pull the trigger straight back, then it's easy to hold on target. It's actually quite accurate! Has a kick since it's so small, but I'm looking forward to adding Pearce mag extenders for more control with pinky rest. Plus Taurus has 8 round mags supposed to be available. Used 3 brands of ammo so far, all 95 grain, feeds them all well. No failures. Recommended!

I ORDERED THIS LITTLE GUN FROM BUDS, GREAT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH AND THE PRICING CANT BE BEAT. WILL BUY MORE IN NEAR FUTURE. AS FOR THE GUN VERY LIGHT MADE WELL DEPENDABLE AND ACCURATE . GREAT CC PISTOL I LIKE THIS GUN SO MUCH I OWN TWO MORE IN MY COLLECTION . I FIRED ALL THREE AT MY LOCAL RANGE WITHOUT ANY FF AND HOW SMALL AND LIGHT THE GUN IS NOT MUCH RECOIL AND VERY ACCURATE AT 25 TO 30 FEET EVEN WITH THE SMALL SIGHTS.

Reviews of this pistol were mixed. Some loved it and some hated it. Same went for the Ruger LCP (the other pistol I was considering). What made me go with the TCP was my previous experience with Taurus (PT111 Millennium Pro Gen. 3 that is flawless after 1000 plus rounds) and the fact that the TCP has full-length slide rails. This TCP was not packed in grease like my PT111. Upon receiving the pistol, I immediately did two things to enhance reliability. First, I thoroughly cleaned the gun, and then polished the feed ramp with my Dremel to a mirror finish. I have since shot over 200 rounds. ZERO failures to feed, eject, fire, etc. It is not a target pistol by any means, but it is comfortable enough to shoot it often and well. I would highly recommend this pistol to amyone. It shoots well and mone os capable of 3" groups at 30 feet. A great little gun fr Taurus!

Purchased the Taurus TCP S.S. from Buds for the Wife. My first purchase from Buds and can say not the last. Truly a Credit to On-Line Buying. Had TCP shipped to local Dealer for under $300. This Little Pocket Gun is Awesome. I'm a 45 Guy that carries the G30sf so I was skeptical about it at first. Considering Wife's lack of Range Time and the small sites on all Pocket Guns I installed the Crimson Trace Laser, Pachmeyer Sleeve to help with the "Sting" and Pierce Extensions for Mags. Also " Adjusted" the Mags Lips which are noted for having been the Culprit to most of the feeding issues with the TCP. I then gave it a thorough cleaning and headed to the range with 300 rounds for break in period. After a couple of mags I had the Laser dialed in and the "Test" began!! I tried numerous times midway thru test to encourage a FTF or a FTE and can say it did not Hiccup one time. Wow and the Trigger ...it beats the LCP and KelTecs Trigger Hands down. This Pistol will Serve Well if Kept Clean, Well Oiled and DONT LIMP WRIST IT. Impressive Lil Gun and a little advice for those like myself that like to break-in a gun ASAP ...these aren't Target Pistols for the Range so take your time or you'll have a Sore Hand!!LOL Thanks Again to BudsGuns for this Great Purchase Price and Smooth Delivery!!!

Great service from Buds! Got this gun for my wife. No FTF with a couple hundred rounds fired. Only issue with this gun is that the grip chews up my wife's hand so she doesn't like to shoot or carry it. It is very rough even on my hands. Good accuracy for a pocket pistol and easily conceal able. My wife now owns a sig 238 and I gained another pocket gun for myself so it all worked out!

Yet again...Buds guns hit the bullseye dead on! Purchased for the wife as her first EVER firearm. Great for her, low recoil, simple key lock safety (like I said...first firearm), easy disassembly. Only minor complaint on my end is the sights, very small and stubby. But this was for her, not me. She has put down range about 200 rounds so far with no hick-ups. I have even purchased one for my mother in pink (cant believe I'm admitting to ordering a pink gun), and preparing to take her to the range soon for her first time shooting. As always...its great to be a customer of Bud's!!!

I got the TCP for my wife after she did not like the .38 spl revolver I originally got for her(big mistake). I really wanted to like this gun as I chose it over the LCP, P3AT, ECT because of the advantages it has over these guns which I will point out in a few but its all the little nagging issues here and there and a HUGE DESIGN FLAW that will not allow me to recommend this gun to anyone. Let me start off with the positive things I like about this gun. I was kind of impressed with the overall fit and finish of the gun. The trigger pull is long but very smooth, much, MUCH better than the revolver it replaced. It is comparable to my PF-9 trigger, maybe a tiny bit heavier but maybe it will lighten up after more break-in. The slide lock feature and extra magazine was what attracted me to the TCP and so far it has locked back on the last round every single time. Its small and light weight so it makes it easy to carry even when I just want to go out in some shorts and a tee, something I was unable to do even with my PF-9(unless you wear really baggy pants and DEEP POCKETS). Now for the negatives. The sight on this thing is very, very tiny. I knew that most of these guns have tiny sights so I just put a little paint on the nubs they call sights and I can deal with it. This gun does NOT like lead bullets so if you reload and make your own bullets do not use the LEE 102gr mold as it will never chamber the round unless you shorten the OAL to a dangerous level and that still wont fix it(I use fmj with 380 now but I got into reloading due to the high price of 380 ammo and it sucks because now I cant reload for it using lead). The take-down pin is hard to take out and extremely hard to put back in. One time it took me 15min trying to get this sucker in which after a few cleaning gets annoying FAST. I had to polish the crap out of the feeding ramp when I first got it since it would not chamber a round. Still to this day the first round does not want to chamber and I have to smack the slide real good to do so (never had a failure to feed so far so it should not be a big concern). The floor plate on the magazine is a little odd as the magazine is placed forward with the rest of the floorplate behind it. Sometimes it confuses the crap out of me and I tend to insert the magazine in the wrong direction but that just might be me on this on. Another hit is that the magazine leaves a huge gap between the floorplate and frame, but this seems like the only fit issue this gun has and does not effect performance. I could have overlooked all these little nagging issues if only this gun worked properly and that brings me to the biggest flaw this gun has. I put almost 200 rnds through her and with every mag or so I would have a lightstrike, sometimes 2-3 rounds per mag. At first I thought there was something wrong with the firing pin or maybe a weak spring somewhere but as I did more research I ran into what really wrong with the gun. It looks like the TCP has a 2 stage trigger reset and if you don't fully allow the TCP to reach the second reset the GUN WILL NOT FIRE!! Some will say this is a training issue and you should always allow the trigger to reset correctly but just think of this for a moment. Do you want to own a gun that if you short stroke the trigger under a high stress situation it will render the gun useless until you rack the slide, re-reset the trigger and try again? Those critical seconds could mean life or death in many situations and I am not willing to bet my life on it. I have never had an issue even close to this with any of the guns I've owned. Going to send the gun back to Taurus and "if" this design flaw is fixable I'm still going to get rid of the gun as I find the manufacturer grossly irresponsible for letting such a huge design flaw out to the market.(wish me luck with Taurus CS, I hear it's hit or miss just like their guns)

Buds shipped the gun right away and arrived at my FFL 3 days after ordering. Shot 100 rounds of remington full metal jacket and 25 rounds of remington ultimate home defense hollow points, rapid fired a few mags as well. Not one malfunction. I was nervous reading some of the other reviews but my gun performed flawlessly. I would definately reccomend this gun for conceal carry. There are a lot of holsters out there for this gun that are cheap and easy to come by if you dont like the carry case that it comes with. I bought a desantis sof tuk iwb holster for 20$ and I cant even tell the gun is on me. Overall a great choice, good value, good quality, good price, would buy again.

Nice gun overall. Trigger snaps slightly and gun kicks a bit, but still a nice concealed carry gun. Extra clip and Bulldog case a plus also.

Despite reviews that suggested these pistols were hit or miss, I decided to take a chance on the Taurus 380. After 200 rounds through it at the range, I am very pleased with my purchase. This pistol has several distinct advantages over the Ruger LCP. For about the same weight and size, you get a much better trigger, slightly larger sights, a slide that locks back on an empty chamber, and a price tag about $50 less than the LCP. In my first range session, I had one FTF from a box of Federal target loads and another FTF from a box of Winchester PDX1. My next range trip, I had zero problems shooting a combination of target ammo, reloads, and Remington golden sabers (125 rounds total). The pistol is quite accurate and the sights are dead on. The trigger has a long but smooth pull (4.5 lbs. according to my Lyman gauge). Buds did a fine job as usual. Ordered on a Sunday and delivered on Friday.

I have to update my review. I sent the gun to Taurus, they overnighted it by fedex to Miami, and had it back to me in a week. I took it out and it worked without a problem. The service was excellent; can't believe it only took a week to be fixed. I was upset initially but the gun shoots great now and I'm definately happy with it.

First off, Bud's was extremely quick. It shipped out Tuesday and I got it in Wednesday night. Unfortunately, I can't say how disappointed I am in this gun. Got it for my wife as a CCW. Took it out today to break it in and more than half the rounds malfunctioned. Had several FTFs and FTEs. I expect it to take a little while to break it but every other round shouldn't be a malfunction. On top of that, one of the mags that came with it wouldn't load properly. It's already back to Taurus and it'll probably be another month till we get it back. When it did shoot, it shot great but I won't let my wife carry a gun that I'm not sure will even fire.

Awesome pistol. I ordered this pistol on 7/3 & received it on 7/8. Great, great service from Bud's, without a doubt you cannot beat 'em. Now as far as the gun, I cannot say enough good things about this gun, the price is outstanding, the quality is outstanding, the trigger pull is perfect for a striker fired weapon, it field strips easy and I really like it. I also purchased a S&W Bodyguard & personally I like this pistol a hundred times better. The range was crowded this morning so I only had a chance to fire off 30 rounds of really cheap ammo, I mean really cheap and it functioned perfectly. I said perfectly.! If it sounds like I'd give this gun a 100 out of 5 you're right!

Received my .380 in two days(quickest yet)and love it. I took it to my gun club and put 50 rounds through it at 15 meters and had groups that were mostly fist sized and a few strays that gave me a total target group no larger than a paper plate. No firing probs whatsoever. Easy to take down. Really like the extra clip and the nice well made canvas concealed carry bag than comes with. Looks just like a backberry case or similar. Waitng on a Crimson Trace for it to make it a bad little pocket gun. Wife thought it was cute so I plan on ordering her one as well. I have two other sidearms, .45's, a Glock 21 and a Taurus PT945 and I have to say this is my favorite. Won't knock something down like a .45, but when you look at the carryability and the accuracy it will have with a laser it is a no brainer. Get one asap!
