Like the other disapointed purchasers I had problems with this gun jambing up every two shots. The magazine is loose as well. As soon as I got the gun I cleaned it then off to the range, only to find out that I now own a two hundred dollar paper weight.

Fit and finish is nice and build is solid; however, front sight is slightly off and canted. The owners manual says it can be corrected with a file. Very picky pistol when it comes ammo; half dozen stove pipes with Remington and several jams with Blazer. Finally accepted CCI and haven't had any issues since.

Not bad looking. But this gun jams up every 2-3 rounds. Cannot find ammo that does'nt jam up in this thing. The mag is sloppy as hell, proably why it jams every other round. My suggestion save a couple more bucks up and buy a Ruger !!!

I couldn't break it in because I couldn't get more than about 50 rounds through it after 2 trips to the Range. The only time I could get it to fire was when I chambered the first round. After firing, the magazine would slip down and the next round would fail to chamber. A quick removal of the magazine, rack, rack, rack to eject the bent cartidge, re-insert the magazine, rack one in. Then it would fire--one time, the magazine would slip down and the next round would jam again. The magazine is soooo loose, I can pull it out with my fingernail without using the mag release. It's going back to Puma under an RMA (I have to take it 60-miles round trip to my FFL and then pay return shipping myself).

I don't normally do this sort of thing, but I want to leave positive feedback for a purchase I made from Bud's Gun Shop. I bought this Puma 1911-22 fully expecting a turd in a box because of reviews I've seen, and the low price. I was absolutely wrong in this case. This pistol looks more than decent, and has performed very well with the first 1000 rounds I've put thru it. I've used the cheap Remington and Federal so far, and with the exception of about 10 stovepipes, there have been NO ftf or fte issues. I will admit to polishing the ramp with a rubber wheel on a dremel before I took it to the range, but that is all I did other than a routine cleaning when I opened the box for the first time. I also want to commend these folks on the fast shipping. I know this sounds like a paid commercial, and I may not have another transaction this great in the future, but I will be buying more from them in the future. Thank you for the good service.
