Great rifle w/folding stock. In Michigan you I had to register it as a "pistol" due to shortened folded stock.This Sig is like a good Swiss watch and Army engineered to be one of the best choices and price in this type of rifle. Not a lightweight but fires beautifully, accurately.

I prowled around for some time before landing on this Sig 5.56 for my AR purchase. Even though this rifle is not a classic AR-15 design, I believe the differences represent improvements on the original AR design. It sighted in quickly the first time out, and it never failed to fire or eject a single round of the 160 initial rounds fired. The field strip and clean-up was an absolute piece of cake, especially since Sig improved the front takedown pin from the old double-slot type. My only gripes are these: 1) For a $1,000 rifle, it ought to come in a decent plastic case, not in a cardboard box with that cheap styrofoam that breaks down into little foam pebbles. What a mess! 2) The only magazine included is a low-end GI-type 30-round mag. Again, for a nice rifle like this, it ought to come with a couple of P-mags. My gripes don't bring down my review score, however. This is a 5-star rifle right out of the box.

the sig sauer product arrived in perfect condition and performed flawlessly through an initial 300+ rounds....very accurate and sturdy weapon.... My only gripe is: the magazine that came with this NEW weapon is a used magazine...And a "well used" magazine at that....figure that one out??

Perfectly crafted firearm, what else can be said? Everything you expect from Sig Sauer, top line quality, accuracy, & managability. The gun is very easy to dissassemble and clean. This is my easily the best assault rifle I own. Whenever possible I will be purchasing more Sig products from BudsGunShop.

I picked up my Sig 556 Swat Patrol from the FFL yesterday and at first glance, I was very impressed. My FFL dealer was like "That is a sweet looking rifle". I have not fired it yet, but will very soon. I was alittle concerned about the metal shavings in the rifle when i picked it up, but if Buds says its factory new then I have no reason to doubt that. If what they say is true, then that should be from test firing at the factory. I noticed my rifle did not come with the extended butt pad which when reading other reviews, I think it probably should have. I am going to contact Buds to see if I can get one sent to me. The other thing I was alittle disappointed in was the fact that it came with a solid foldable stock and not the folable/extendable stock. not sure if that is just a vairation of the Sig Swat Patrol or what. I like the idea behind the extendable stock and will probably purchase the foldable/extendable stock from Sig at a later date. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and hope to do more business with Buds. I think this rifle will serve me very well as a law enforcement officer.

This rifle is my first ever firearm, and I am seriously happy with my first choice. First, it is just a very gorgeous looking gun, very well crafted machinery. Second, it shoots like a dream. I've put about 700 rounds through it without a single fail to fire or fail to eject and reload. Also there is very little kick, if any at all that is noticeable. Its fairly easy to take apart and the price was great when compared to the MSRP or my local retailer. One issure, the rail tends to get a bit hot if you put too many rounds through it too fast. As long as you're not popping off rounds every second for multiple clips you should be ok. Overall, very happy with the sig 556 swat patrol.

This gun is awesome!!! I received it from Buds 5 days after I placed the order online. This was my 4th gun purchase from Buds and it will not be the last. I'm very impressed with the prices and fast shipping times. I shot 120 rounds of BVAC 62 grain ammo through my Sig and had no failures of any kind. The only disappointment is the magazine that is shipped with the rifle. It is just a cheap generic AR mag. I was hoping to get the Sig mag that it is supposed to come with. I also purchased 3 of the Magpul mags which work very well with this gun. Other than that, I have no complaints about Buds or Sig.

Ordered this SIG 556 from Buds online store on Monday afternoon, it was shipped from a warehouse in Louisiana and I picked it up the next day from an authorized FFL in Ft.Worth, TX. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase from Buds and I am even happier with my new assault rifle. Picked up the rifle today and found everything that was promised. Really an all around sweet piece especially for the price.my rifle arrived in 2 days at my FFL and couldn't have asked for a better experience. only suggestion i have is pay in advance seems 2 be the more convenient method, had i done this my purchase would have arrived in days rather than waiting for the payment to arrive and then shipping.no fault of Bud's just cuts down on your wait. this was my first purchase from Bud's and without a doubt not my last.

Just picked up from FFL, so far so good, cant wait to take her to the range this weekend. Great price from Buds, was $400 more at the shop it was shipped to. Only suggestion i have to buyers is avoid the paying by check, the wait is torture hehe lesson learned. Definitely will buy from Buds again.

I had an early model 556 with the fish gill forend and pos red dot sight, I loved the rifle but the forend and sight needed some refinement and that came to be in this rifle. The aluminum rail up front is a big step up from the plastic and the shortened patrol version is not near as nose heavy as the full length rail swat rifles are. The diopeter sight works great and is easy to adjust and is a reliable sigh with no batteries. Frist range day was 200 rounds , 100 Fiocchi Shooting Dynamcis 62gr FMJ and 100 Federal M193 55gr FMJ with 3 different mags types and not even so much as a hiccup from any of the combinations. The rifle seemed to perfer the heavier bullets at 100 yrds but that is to be expected with a 1 in 7 twist. I liked my first 556 with the exception of the sight and I love this one. Rubber rail covers are included if you don't like hanging onto a rail but they make it a little tuff in lock the folding stock if installed on that side and that is the only thing I didn't like about this rifle. They also include a extended butt pad wich made the gun fit me much better than the original M4 style stock. Groups were about 2"-3" off hand at 100yrds I can't wait to try it off a bench just to see what it does.

The gun apears to be well made and I can't wait to shoot it. The gun is front heavy but thats how I like them. I received excelent service!! I needed this gun expidited and bud's got it to me fast.
