Received this gun Friday and found it to be flawless. Got to the range a couple of days later and fired about 100 rounds of mixed 153 gr HP, 143 gr FMJ and hand loaded hard cast. Didn't have to touch sights and gun was very accurate. Recoil did smart a little mostly due to the grips. They are a little thin at the back strap, so will probably be changing these out. Really have no complaints about the gun. It's just what it's represented to be.

Gun appeared to be fine when originally arrived at LGS. Siting in at 7yd, this 627PC seemed to be rather accurate out of the box, though trigger pull was significantly "mechanical' divided into three steps. Chronographed it against my 4" 686 for comparison and found ~200ft/sec deficit to the 4in 686. I then decided to to do a deep cleaning/lube to see what I actually received from S&W. It was bone dry inside and looked as if the last chemical bath had just fogged out, onto all internal parts. DRY as a bone... Ok, I then used a high quality Moly lube paste with a toothpick to reach all critical areas of high contact. After a couple hundred snap caps with the Moly lube in place, this was a changed and much improved revolver. I really like it, however, I fail to understand why a gun coming out of the S&W Performance Center can arrive WITHOUT having had a trigger performance update (much bragged about in the S&W literature), or even a lube job. This has made all of the difference, but WHY must I DIY when purchasing a "S&W Performance Center" weapon? I can DIY my own maintenance, BUT why should it be required when paying such a premium? RE Bud's Gun Shop... 10 in all details. Only stumble lies with S&W Performance Center for making such a nice weapon into an "ordinary weapon" upon arrival. Three stars because of the needed DIY tweaks.

This is probably one of the best revolvers I have ever purchased...outside of my S&W Governor. I Love this S&W 627 PC 2.5 Snub nose...put 250 rounds through it the first day at 15 and 25 yrds, and this gun has smooth trigger, pin point accuracy...I have "NO" complaints. Gun arrived in Excellent condition :-) Store transaction was reliable and very dependable with delivery dates/times to receive item purchased.

After owning the firearm for several months and appx. 250 rounds, I could not be more happy with this revolver. Heavy? Yes. Large, Yes. But these knocks were known going into the purchase. Incresed round count, Pro Center enhacements are GREATLY appreciated. The trigger was the best I have ever owned, out of the box. , and smoothing more with every pull if the trigger. Not easy for concealed carry, but a pancake from SimplyRugged has been put to good use. I am also picking up a 642 Pro with Crimson Trace LG405 grips, for lighter summer needs. This firearm has proven to be a wonderful revolver, although the price was awfully steep. Only had to pay it once...

This gun arrived in poor condition. This is probably not a negative reflection on Buds Gun Shop, however the gun arrived with an overtightened barrel that was not square to the fame, the overtightening caused excessive stress on the top strap and frame... This gun has been returne to smith and wesson for warranty repairs/replacement. I feel that a revolver that costs over $800.00 and is illegidely from the "Performance Center" should have had a little extra TLC...just my $0.02.
