After more than one year on the fence between the SR9c and a couple of other handguns (like the Walther PPS) I finally ordered the Ruger SR9c. First time ordering a firearm online. I could not find the blued version anywhere around here, so I decided to give it a try. Price wise, I ended up saving a bit, not much, what with the transfer fees ($32) and the shipping insurance, etc. Still, not a bad deal. Ordered on thursday, gun was at the local FFL on Monday, process took 15 minutes and I was out the door with my new toy. The SR9c is a well designed, easy to conceal, easy to shoot handgun. I decided to go with Ruger because I have put thousands of rounds through a P95 and love it. Well, glad I did, because I got some unexpected trouble. After cleaning the gun I took it to the range and put 150 rounds of Federal 9mm down range. No problem cycling, feeding or extracting, BUT the trigger got stuck back 5 times. It would not reset. A new round was chambered, but the trigger was stuck back. After manually cycling the slide, on I went. Five times. Went home rather disappointed, further cleaned the gun, this time got into the striker channel, etc, no grease, no extra oil. Another 100 rounds, another three trigger failures to reset... VERY disappointed, especially because I have been pretty much convincing Ruger is the best out there. So maybe I got a lemon. A quick search on line shows that this is a known problem, with several people noticing. Many, most, don't. My luck. It goes back tomorrow to Ruger. Maybe I should have bought the Walther, but will wait until I get it back. I still trust Ruger will do the right thing. Five stars for accuracy (8 out of 10 rounds on a sillouette at 60 YARDS), ergonomics, design and operation (despite the bear of a double recoil spring). 1 star for reliability (the one I got, I don't want to generalize, great reports out there on this gun).

Nice accurate little gun. Cleaned it well ran 200 rounds of the crappiest ammo I could find ate it all up with no problems. Even my cousin who said "I don't like ruger pistiols, cause they jam." Was impressed at the end of our session. Great gun. And Bud's was fast and easy to deal with!

I ordered from Bud's expecting to get good service and I was not disappointed. After waiting for my e-check payment to clear the gun was at my local FFL in 2 days. I've had the pistol now for for several days and have put about 250 rounds of Winchester White Box, Federal, and Tul Ammo through it . So far I am highly pleased. I did experience 2 light strikes in the 17 round magazine, both with WWB ammo. The very first round was a light strike and the next load of the 17 round mag had one half way though. Both times I put the round back in after the magazine was finished and it went off normally. I am fairly certain they were caused by the gun being brand new and me not cleaning it properly before I shot it. I used an all in one cleaner/lube and know for sure I used too much. I also didn't remove the striker pin assembly and clean it out. I am confident that I can rely on the pistol when I need it. The overall feel of the gun is great. I have a normal sized hand and the 10 round mag with pinky extension gives just enough length to get a very comfortable grip on the gun. The 17 round mag with extension is nice also. The recoil is easily managed and the gun is a pleasure to shoot. The trigger has very little travel and breaks clean. If you plan to carry it concealed you definitely need a quality leather belt and good holster. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the gun. I researched for 2 months before I made my choice and it paid off to do my homework. If you're looking for a high quality, concealable pistol I definitely recommend the SR9c.

Buds gets 5 stars on this transaction. Shipping was quick and easy. First of all, i really do enjoy the SR9c. It feels great, has the safety features I want, and is very concealable. However, my particular firearm shipped with a manufacturer problem. My Ruger began to have light strike problems on just about every type/make of ammunition I put through it. Turns out the spring in the striker assembly was not strong enough to ignite the primer. I called Ruger and their customer service was fantastic and provided free shipping back to the factory. After approximately 3 weeks it was returned to me and I have put another 700-800 rounds through it without a problem. Though it was disappointing that the gun did not function properly out of the box, I feel fairly confident about it now. (Though I would like to put another 200 rounds through it before I am completely satisfied.)

First time ordering a gun online and the service was great. Bud's kept me up to date via emails every step of the way. Pricing was great and my LFD discounted his fee as a Bud's preferred dealer. I've only shot 125 rounds with this great gun so far and it operated flawlessly. Sthot a mix of Fed 115 gr, WWB, Winchester +P JHP and all fully cycled. Sighting was was easy and accurate right out of the box. VERY managable recoil. GREAT trigger. Once I get a few hundred more rounds through it, it will become my everyday carry. Ruger made a winner here. I recommend this gun to everyone!

Got my SR9c yesterday morning and went to the range a couple of hours later. I had tested the model at my local range and liked it. After firing a little over 100 rounds I LOVE it. This handgun feels perfect in my hands, the sights are dead on. As for the trigger action? My husband agrees that the trigger is as near to perfect as you can get. I only had two misfires/misfeeds but I am blaming myself for those as it appears I didn't pull the slider back right. Would I recommend this weapon to anyone else? Without a doubt and without reservations. Diana R., Austin TX
